One of the few Republicans in the country who's been tirelessly pushing for the implementation of Obamacare at the state level has been tapped to head Mitt Romney's transition team, should he become president.
Former HHS Secretary Michael Leavitt, and his consulting group Leavitt Partners, are the primary advocates within Republican circles for implementation of Obamacare's exchanges. It just so happens that his consultancy is one of the major beneficiaries of the taxpayer funded gold mine of hundreds of millions of dollars in exchange implementation grants.

You are at least sticking to the points. I have no doubt that you are correct in your description. I totally agree that Romney is not a conservative.
What I have apparently been attacked for is to suggest that conservatives didn’t win this particular round. I also asserted that it’s time to grow up and continue from where we are not where we fantasized about being. As a certain conservative statesman (Donald H. Rumsfeld) once said, “You go to war with the army you have not the army you want.” This election cycle, we came up short on candidates and money against the Romney Machine. We need to take steps to insure that the rest of the ticket is more conservative and like it or not, we need to work to remove the current infestation from the White House with the “tool” we have.
I doubt this will sit well with the angry mob.
And how exactly does a President do that? Is it any better that ‘our guy’ fails in his duties to upload the laws as they are passed?
Let me know when a law/regulation/department...hell ANYTHING has been revoked, rescinded or rolled-back.
The GOPe moves left by the inch, the DEMs by the foot, but leftward they still travel.
I agree with you on voting down-ticket for the most conservative candidates.
I cannot, however, vote for Romney. Since he is an advocate of gay couples and gay adoption and is an on-again-off-again supporter of abortion, it would be against my religion to support him.
I have to choose between God and Romney, and it’s no contest. I’d rather go through what God has in mind with a clear conscience.
Have you been reading the kind posts sent to me on this thread? :)
Romney said that on his first day in office he will issue an Executive Order granting waviers to all 50 states on the implementation of Obamacare. Then the battle begins in Congress. If the individual mandate is overturned this month, Congress will have to address Obamacare just for fiscal reasons alone. It cannot survive without massive federal funds if you eliminate the stream of revenue coming from the individual mandate, which goes into effect 2014 along with employer penalties.
They are the same.
I think if you look more carefully, you will find that your man Romney has promised to repeal AND TO REPLACE Obamacare with his own program.
Why should Romney let Obama get credit for the next great socialist program?
The always unreliable Hugh Hewitt tries to tell us that it is a great thing that Mr. Leavitt is Mitt’s man. Unbelievable, Hewitt has such a small amount of credibility.

If you look more closely, I never explicitly endorse him, rather offered a "virtual" endorsement, because of his status as the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party.
The whole thrust is to the point that we have work to do, with patience & persistence, trying to reach the "problem solver," which I believe is a genuine facet of Mitt Romney.
Romney & American Conservatism.
And while I did not vote for Gov. Romney in the Ohio Primary, and acknowledge that I am not happy with some of his arguments, he is less of a threat than some others, who were in contention.
