(Update: Dem Delegates knock DeFranco off ballot, hand nomination to Warren)
Results are trickling in. Im having trouble finding any webpages with official results as of this moment, but the Twittersphere has reported that Elizabeth Warren received 95.77% of the vote.
If this is confirmed, Warren will have successfully secured the Democratic nomination and wont be forced into a primary battle. Official results to come as soon as they are available.
WAJ UPDATE: Its official, the delegates have deprived voters of a choice for the first time in history, and handed the nomination to Warren.

It will be interesting to see how DeFranco and her supporters react. Remember, this was a delegate vote not a popular vote with heavy pressure from the Gov. Deval Patrick, former Gov. Michael Dukakis, and other Democratic leaders to avoid a primary fight. They told the over 10,000 people who signed DeFrancos nominating petition that they dont get to vote in the primary election, and they deprived hundreds of thousands of other voters of a choice.
Now its on the Dem leadership as Warrens drip-drip falsehoods about her family history and her personal narrative continue to play out.
And according to the Herald only 3 Cherokee protestors showed up in the rain. Little advance notice it’s said.
>>Plans for a Cherokee protest outside the arena fizzled out, with only three people braving a late morning downpour to blast Warrens unsubstantiated claim to Native American heritage.
I think the rain had a lot to do with it, said one woman who refused to give her name or hometown, and there were only two days notice.

This is good news for “hammered middle class families!” I wonder if anyone will ever ask Ms. Warren if “affirmative action” is good for hammered middle class families?
I cannot understand how anyone could vote for such a dishonest person like Warren. I know most politicians are, to be polite, liars, but this woman has benefited from a lie for years and oozes sleeze.
I honestly believe true conservatives would not vote for a candidate who is so bad. It is hard to generalize to much, but many liberals and dems will vote straight party line no matter what. When a democrat is accused of infidelity, it often makes no difference but with conservatives, it does. Not always republicans.
You’re talking about a state that gave the nod [after their bad acts]to: Rep. Studds [affair with male Congressional Page], Barney Franks [boyfriend ran male whore house out of his condo; got 2d boyfriend Federal job], and “Scuba” Kennedy [Chappaquidick]. What do you expect?
“I cannot understand how anyone could vote for such a dishonest person like Warren.”
Massachusetts voters will vote for her because she’s “taking back the Kennedy seat” from a usurper, a Republican!
I bet if she wins, though, John Kerry does not return the desk (he insisted on swapping out the desk Dear Teddy used so that Scott Brown would not have the pleasure of using a Democrat senate desk).
Nice as that would have been to see, had DeFranco prevailed and faced Scott Brown in the fall, she would have been harder for Scott Brown to beat.
At least with Warren, she will continue to self-destruct as more and more comes out on what a phoney she is.
95.7% of the vote? Dare we call it a massacre? Or is that racist?
Chief Slinging Bull Warren must’ve done heap big rain dance.
One Dem. delegate (and no I’m not kidding where he’s from): “Jozef Sliwkowski of Chappaquiddick fired a warning shot to the partys delegates in an email yesterday: You want our vote in November. You want our dollars now. OK. One condition you open the Convention to all comers. ... We represent some 10 voting age family members. ... Smoke filled, backroom deals went out in the 60s bring it back and we will all vote Republican for the first time in our lives. (Bos Herald)
