A Florida judge revoked the bail bond of George Zimmerman on Friday and ordered the man charged in the death of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin to surrender within 48 hours.

No, the replacement (or reissued) passport expires 10 years from its issue, in 2014
He and his wife had four recorded conversations (4/12 at 4:43pm, 4/15 at 10:34am, 4/16 at 1:34pm, and 4/16 at 2:31pm) about the money. During two of the conversations Mrs. Zimmerman was at their Credit Union and George spoke directly with bank officials.
They were transferring money from the Paypal account into multiple Credit Union accounts. Credit Union statements dated 4/19, the day before the bond hearing, show they had access to over $135,000.00 in cash.
At some point I’m expecting the names and contact info from paypal to be posted by the MSM of all the donors.
And them poster by the New Black Panthers...
As long as they spell my name right I don’t care.
Apparently they lied about his lack of assets when he bonded out for only $15k. He didn’t disclose website donations (although the timing of what had been received is a question).
In Texas, in criminal matters, bail and bond are pretty much the same thing: you post 10% of the amount of bail in cash and the bail bondsman puts up the rest. If you don’t show up for trial, the bondsman’s money is forfeited and he sends Dog the Bounty Hunter after you. Bond (again, in Texas) is more for appeals and civil matters like guardianships, etc..
Yesterday I heard Hannity report that there's video from a surveillance camera in the jail where Zimmerman was before being released on bond. Hannity said that the video reportedly showed Zimmerman and his wife talking about how to hide the donation money. I don't know if that's true or not, or who released that information.
Courts will not be kind in this matter.
Am sure George feared for his life, but you can't play that game under these circumstances. And the attorney's scheme . . . I ain't buying, doubt if the judge will either. very sad turn of events
Yes, sorry. A little sleep deprived after 3 days with a very sick son.
I was pulling for him from the beginning. I believe his version of events. But when your credibility is key, honesty is essential. If he and his wife knew they had the funds available to post bond, but chose to not reveal that to the court, it hurts his credibility at a time when he needs it the most.
If he is murdered, they are complicit.
I also concur with everything you've said about this being a Lynch mob. As I indicated to another FReeper, the media spun their narrative out there and continued to skew it, no matter what evidence came out to support GZ's version of events.
Then, the way they lionized Trayvon, holding him up as a symbol of the "inherent racism" lie, was disgusting to behold.
My sister was in a similar situation years ago. Horrific car accident, totally false media reports about how the accident happened, 3 different court cases. It haunts her to this day, over 25 years later. So I have some idea of what GZ is going through, although my sister didn't have the media salivating at the thought of her death.
Thanks for not engaging in the knee-jerk I've seen from some others. It's a horrible situation he's in; while others can break all the rules, Zimmerman has to stay within them. His credibility is crucial if he stands any chance of getting real justice, so missteps before the court, however unintentional, can have far ranging effects.
Exactly. And the prosecution had already been notified and knew that George was not in possession of either the second passport or the PayPal money. Both were in the hands of his attorney and the prosecution knew it. This was just more misrepresentations by the prosecutor to deny GZ a fair trial by taking away the resources he needs to secure one. Clearly the depositions are not going well for the prosecution as they fear the stand your ground hearing coming up soon.
That's when they let loose the hounds and sic Dog the Bounty Hunter on you. In this case his parents and grandmother posted the bond, so he's not going anywhere -- and the prosecution knew it and knows it.
A lynch mob is the purest form of democracy.
A request for revocation of bond is supposed to be because someone is a flight risk. The prosecutor knew as far back as its 4/27 Motion that he was not a flight risk.
This was a phony dog and pony show yesterday ---
Exactly. This is just Corey trying to pollute the jury pool.
You then get on your private jet airplane and leave the country.
Zimmerman sent his replacement passport to O’Mara via FedEx on April 26, and O’Mara has had it since.

SO... it would be safe to say that the terminology is so intermixed in 'conversation' that either one is 'acceptable'.
BAIL: Traditionally, bail is some form of property deposited or pledged to a court to persuade it to release a suspect from jail, on the understanding that the suspect will return for trial or forfeit the bail (and possibly be brought up on charges of the crime of failure to appear). In some cases bail money may be returned at the end of the trial, if all court appearances are made, regardless of whether the person is found guilty or not guilty of the crime accused. If a bondsman is used and a surety bond has been obtained, the fee for that bond is the fee for the insurance policy purchased and is not refundable. (source: wikipedia)
BAIL BONDSMAN: A bail bond agent, or bondsman, is any person or corporation that will act as a surety and pledge money or property as bail for the appearance of persons accused in court. Although banks, insurance companies and other similar institutions are usually the sureties on other types of contracts (for example, to bond a contractor who is under a contractual obligation to pay for the completion of a construction project) such entities are reluctant to put their depositors' or policyholders' funds at the kind of risk involved in posting a bail bond. Bail bond agents, on the other hand, are usually in the business to cater to criminal defendants, often securing their customers' release in just a few hours. (source: wikipedia)
So then if Zimmerman’s parents and grandmother posted their houses to cover the $150,000 Bond to the court, then who did Zimmerman pay his $15,000 Bail to???? His parents and grandmother???
