He didn't have to say it but he did. Rolled over for the establishment.:
"So Romney has responded (paraphrased), "Oh, yeah? Well, I've got an 80% success rate, Mr. President. The companies that Bain Capital -- using its own money, by the way -- went in and rescued had an 80% success rate. What's your success rate, Mr. President? Zero! Every company you've attempted to save or industry you've tried to give a boost to -- with taxpayer dollars, not even your own -- are bankrupt." And to personify this, to illustrate it, Romney goes to Solyndra today.
Bravo! Well done! I like this.
I don't care if Romney's "not conservative enough." I know some people, like Joe Scarborough yesterday on his show, said (paraphrased), "People don't know about Solyndra! This is crazy. Romney's wasting his time talking about Solyndra. The American people never heard of it and the American people don't care about Solyndra." He said you and I care about it, but nobody else knows about it. I'm sure in certain circles, inside the Beltway, it is considered an inside baseball story that the average American doesn't know about and doesn't care about.
But, see, that's what a campaign is for."

A better idea is a Conservative march on Tampa and demand the party establishment dump the Socialist Willard for the successful Conservative and accomplished Governor Scott Walker.

I see you have learned alinsky well...
Please specify the rule that I have supposedly applied in any of my posts. Like the ones you just used: Ridicule is man's most potent weapon and Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. You can target me all you want but you cant ridicule me.
[W]hen did I say I was staying home?
Well that was intended to be a sweeping generalization of those principled folks who have announced that they will not be participating in the general election because their non-existent perfect conservative candidate is not on the ballot, but if you took it to be a direct shot at you, so be it.
I have voted in every election, even local ones, even while I was deployed, since 1976, and that includes local school boards and stuff like that there...
Thank you for your service.
My taxes are not controlled by me, they are controlled by those that are elected to represent us. They have done a shitty job. Yet, these same bastards keep getting re-elected. They are re-elected by mind numbed robots such as yourself that firmly believe the line of crap coming from the politicians mouths. They got you hook line and sinker pal.
Well pal why dont you run for congress and undo it all? You apparently have all the solutions. Rather than drone on and on about it on the internet, why dont you actually take some kind of action?
I vote for those that most closely represent my views.
Have you found that perfect candidate yet?
[R]omney aint it....
I dont think anyone on this thread has ever said he was. He doesnt represent anyones view here as far as I know. He certainly doesnt represent mine. But that is not the point.
As I stated on one of my previous posts, the first goal is to remove BHO from office in this election no matter what before he can complete his plan for destroying this country. We want to do so with a conservative candidate, but unfortunately we dont have one anymore. We have Romney and thats it.
As SkyShot eloquently stated earlier, you go to war with the army you have. We have Romney whether we want him or not so we have to use him to our advantage. The ultimate goal is to get a conservative majority in government, federal, state, and local. We gained a lot of battleground by taking the House in 2010. So far we appear to be gaining even more in 2012 in both the House and the Senate which is promising.
But this is not going to happen overnight. We have over 40 years of Democrat-led bureaucracy to undo. We have to take our victories as they come and we are going to have to make some necessary tough decisions that we dont like to do in order to win the war. In order to checkmate the King, you have to sacrifice some of your major pieces, sometimes even your Queen. Its all strategy.
I think its safe to say that all of us here have stated for the record that Romney is not their preferred candidate. But they understand the absolute danger of just allowing BHO to waltz right into a second term so they have made that necessary tough decision of voting for Romney. They know that he is nothing more than a chess piece being moved into a strategic position for the time being.
[S]oooo... are you a republican? [A]re you a conservative? [A]re you a constitutionalist?
By asking these questions I realize you are only trying to goad me into a personal pissing contest between the two of us over who is a real conservative and who is not
[M]y guess is you are a republican.
But Ill answer them anyway. I am a conservative constitutionalist that votes republican. So go ahead and call me a socialist supporting mind numbed robot (not very original BTW) and get it out of your system. Its not going to hurt my feelings.

I am pretty sure that this Pennsylvanian is voting for Virgil Goode. One thing is for sure is that we have been pretty successful in getting the word out to people in Western Pennsylvania about Virgil Goode. The President thanks you for your diligent efforts at organizing the proletariat in such a way as to ensure the Final Victory of the Revolution!

I will not vote for a party, I vote for people. I vote for those that most closely represent my views. romney aint it....
In 2012, if you vote for the candidate who most closely represents your views, you will have voted to re-elect the candidate who most directly opposes your views.
Always remember, voting has nothing to do with principles. That's not how elections work. Voting is about outcomes. Period.

"Always remember, voting has nothing to do with principles."
Thank you for reminding us why we end up with such execrable figures getting nominated.

Sure it is... but, what is the reality? I can name several candidates that I would have preferred, but for whatever reason they aren’t on stage. At some point we are going to have to accept the hand we were dealt and play it or just throw our cards on the table and let someone else have the pot without even showing their hand.

This isn't like it's Bill Clinton and we have Romney running against him. Or even Jimmy Carter. This is a man in the mold of a Chavez.
I am not thrilled that at this point in our history all we could muster together was the field of candidates we had. But, we is where we is...and I'll take Romney if it means this communist nightmare is rejected.

Ain't no crop to harvest, ain't no rain, ain't no sandbags and ain't no levee. You only think it's there because those "enlightened" folk told you so. It's all an illusion, a fraud, a swindle, a fairy tale designed by the powers that be to make you dance like a puppet on a string. I'm the one telling you and everyone else that might remotely give a damn -- you've been had. Don't you know these guys are laughing at you ? You can cut the string anytime you wish. The scissors are right in front of you. Do you have the courage to reach out and cut them ?

Thank you for the kind words. It is a lot of work convincing otherwise good people to stop voting for the liberal Republicans and vote for conservatives, but the work is really paying off. I feel sorry for the sinners who are voting for the liberals. I pray for them though. That should help some of them from the fires of Hell hopefully. The liberal that the Republicans put up this time is a guy who loved to support doctors who murdered babies. Can’t get much lower than that.
To: fieldmarshaldj
So what do we do if we can convince about 15% of the people likely to vote (R) to stay home?

At what point did I ever advocate people staying home ? I challenge you to find such a post, because it doesn’t exist. People need to get mad as hell and march on Tampa. Waiting for November is too late.

"People need to get mad as hell and march on Tampa." OK, I stand corrected on urging people to stay at home. So what are people who have been urged to stay anti-Romney no matter what expected to do after an attempt the change the course of the convention?
If the plan is to demand commitments to repeal health care and not offer another substitute watered down plan, then I am all for it. I continue to say our responsibility is to influence the man who is likely to be our next president to the best of our ability.
If the plan is to revolt against the decision of the convention and rally as much support for an alternate candidate we might as well take the poison Obama pill right now, in my opinion.
The fact is we need independent voters to help remove Obama and the more we show the nation the party is incapable of harmony the more we may be helping Obama.

Attempting to “influence” Willard on policy is a pointless exercise. He will do what he wants, not what you want. He’ll lie without an ounce of shame to one crowd and just as quickly shift to another position to appease another bunch. One reason he is absolutely untrustworthy. He’s a sociopath and malignant narcissist. He is SO much like his opponent, they could be twins.
As for healthcare and any reforms you may be expecting under Willard, I suggest you take a look at this:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2891409/posts
You guys are behind had by a professional con-man. Is this what you really want ? I’m not going to help this fraud and huckster one iota. What I urge of others, again, is to do everything possible to lobby to dump this disaster before he obtains that power he so desperately desires. Work, too, for actual Conservative candidates as well that will actively oppose any and all leftist measures from Congress or the Executive Branch or wherever else.

I've got the point about what an imbecile I am. Now, once again, what is going to be the plan here...how does the game I am too stupid to comprehend work?
If I am following, we are going to march on Tampa, make sure that everyone in the country hears that Romney is a lying, dirty dealing narcissistic sociopath and they should shun him like the plague. Then after he gets the nomination we can tell the nation that everyone who supports him is as dumb pie stool and they deserve as much scorn as Romney and Obama put together. Ultimately we can really make sure all the undecided people stay that way and either skip voting or maybe just flip a coin.
If all goes to plan, Romney will be shunned and Obama will be reelected ...then what?
That's all I'm asking: "Then what?"
Do we just say we're all going to quit paying taxes and not observe Obama's new Czars who are taking control of schools, farms, industry and transportation? Do we march to city hall and turn in our guns and get in line for our food card? (Since we can't drive because gas costs $7.00)
Do we hold signs saying we are mad about the new Mosque in our community?
What is the vision?

If the party is stupid enough and willful enough to ignore the facts and reality about this guy, it will deserve whatever consequences come of it. Frankly, the party seems to have a death wish. I’m not rubber stamping their inclinations.
I have to ask you, are you one of those that will simply vote Republican regardless of what is put up and campaign for it ? That’s not to say voting Democrat is the sole alternative, but that if the GOP decides to go left and keep going left, you’ll keep voting for that ? As an individual, where do you draw the line ? What is the bridge too far for you to cross ? If Willard isn’t a problem for you, what on earth is ?
That’s the problem with ABO, it’s about simply removing any and all standards for a GOP nominee to get rid of what is in the White House. But when you remove all standards, what have you got left ?

I am firmly behind a more conservative America. That is why I have sent money from my strained budget to Sara Palin, Thaddeus McCotter, Mike Lee, Clint Didier, and Mia Love. The idea of rolling over for whoever (R) puts up doesn't set well with me. But, I am pragmatic enough to understand that as in terms of war, taking this bridge today so we can build up our supplies and fortify our troops to take the capitol tomorrow may be a better strategy than to go all out and lose everything.
Once again, just for the fun of it: what is you vision for how we will fare in 2014 if we can manage to turn enough people against Romney?

Romney has pledged to repeal Obama Care immediately. That is not what he promised!
He promised to repeal and replace it with his own national health care program.
Don't believe me, go to his site and read for yourself.

There are plenty of people who will continue to play the GOP three card Monte came, continue to get hustled, and continue to stand by the GOP with the oh so noble attitude that they must play with the hand they are dealt.
And the dumbest reason for continuing to play the game is: the game across the street is worse.
