The widow of President Ronald Reagan says she is firmly behind Romney. And she says that her "Ronnie" would have liked Romney's business background and what she calls his "strong principles."
In a statement issued after the Romneys' visit, Mrs. Reagan said she believes that Romney has the experience and leadership skills that, in her words, "our country so desperately needs."

The primary is over. Yes, feelings were hurt (especially mine when Newt dropped out), blah, blah, blah. None of that is important right now. If we don’t get that Kenyan commie pig out of office, America will be destroyed. It’s that simple.
We’re on the edge of complete economic, political, and social disaster. The only way to prevent it is to send Obama to the C-SPAN lecture circuit four years early. If that means voting for Romney, it means voting for Romney. Is it a thought I cherish ? No, but I’d rather do that than watch the US become a failed, European-style social(ist) democracy.
Keep this in mind: It will be worlds easier to push Romney in the RIGHT (pun intended) direction than it will be to push Chairman Obama in the RIGHT direction. The GOP-E needs us a hell of lot more than the Dims do.

You can bet some of the biggest supporters (probably even financially if you could dig deep enough) of conservative third parties are liberal Democrats and other leftists who have taken over the Democrat Party and are busily at work to do the same to the Republican Party. They know that dividing the vote amongst a variety of "Hey, I'm more conservative than you cause I didn't vote for any Republican" nitwits is one their most effective ways to destroy their opposition and to solidify a political hegemony.
Over the past thirty years they have taken control of one of the two largest political parties in a country where winner takes all in elections and are busily working to fracture the only opposition they have by encouraging conservatives to leave the Republican Party in the hands of RINOS rather than working to take over the party apparatus as they, the Leftists, have taken over the Democrat Party. I never said a bad thing about Reagan, or his widow, on this thread or any other.
You merely said that he would be unacceptable to his core supporters today because he would be viewed as a rino republican like a Rockefeller or a Romney.
Well he clearly isn’t seen that way by we conservatives.
