If more people stopped drinking soda, it wouldn’t hurt my feelings, but I think Mayor Busybodyberg should keep his nose out of it. Personally we don’t drink a lot of soda in this house because it doesn’t have any nutritional value and it doesn’t quench the thirst, but who am I to tell people what they should drink. I do like the occasional Rootbeer or Sprite. Are they going to end up outlawing it next or make it to where you have to be 21 to drink it?

I keep reading comments like this, but it's inaccurate to say that a sugary soda has no nutritional value. There are certainly more nutritious options out there, but a human being's nutritional needs include calories and hydration, both of which technically are available from a sugary soda.
