Correction: granny Dunham didn't manufacture a ‘BC’. She registered a birth, which created the “handwritten” notation, or listing, we've heard so much about. That was sufficient until the clamor to see a real BC reached critical mass, and THAT was when the present LF BC was manufactured. Crucial distinction, and one that needs to be noted.

This has been my theory all along. My only caveat is that I believe this fake birth document was created by Hawaii DOH itself using adoption laws as cover.
