Correction: granny Dunham didn't manufacture a BC. She registered a birth, which created the handwritten notation, or listing, we've heard so much about. That was sufficient until the clamor to see a real BC reached critical mass, and THAT was when the present LF BC was manufactured. Crucial distinction, and one that needs to be noted. This has been my theory all along. My only caveat is that I believe this fake birth document was created by Hawaii DOH itself using adoption laws as cover.

We don't disagree at all. I've mentioned the adoption-cover routine on HI’s part elsewhere. However, what was released is not a computer generated 2011 updated document. It is a cut-and-paste image designed to look as if it was created in 1961. I doubt there is any law against trying to make an updated BC look non-updated, so the jeopardy of whoever did it is minimal. But that is what accts for all the different pixel sizes and the (at a minimum) 3 different typewriters, etc., imho.
