Barrett: “...I will stop this Civil War...”
Oh brother.
Barrett still does not have a plan.
Let’s just attack Walker ... Yeah, that’s the ticket!
Seriously, I watched about ten minutes of this debate and come to this conclusion. Barrett is a zero. Any Wisconsin voter that votes for this buffoon is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. And....the dude that is running with Barrett for Lt. Governor, was on “Greta” (FNC) last night is not wrapped too tight. Greta asked him why POTUS Obama was not coming to Wisconsin to campaign and rescue Barrett and him from a Scott Walker victory. His answer was simply that POTUS Obama was too busy being POTUS. When Greta raised the point that Obama has been campaigning non-stop, the dude looked like a deer with headlights in its eyes. What a loser and a dummy, too!!!
The entire debate I felt like Barrett reminded me of someone, but I could not think of who it was. Then it finally hit me.
Tom Barrett reminds me of the actor Parley Edward Baer. He played as Mayor Roy Stoner in the Andy Griffith show. LOL!
He looks like him and has the same mannerism’s, LOL!
Barrett is a Stoner!

There are no Barrett supporters, only those who oppose Walker. They would vote for a pile of dog poo if it had a D after it.
I say use the FDR didn’t support public sector unions at all due to the fact that it would put the taxpayers against the union.
He caved.
Now if you'd like to argue that FDR was PO'd about the federal unions disposing of Commies, go right ahead.
That won't get you what you imagine.
Really, everything there is to know about FDR has been out there for years and years ~ and there are NO SURPRISES, nor do most people give a flying whatsit regarding what FDR said or did at this stage.
A local station here in the Twin Cities carried the debate live.
Barrett looked like one of Ross Perot’s running mates while Walker mopped the floor with him.
Wisconsin law requires petitioners to number 25% of the number voting in the election in question.
It is ridiculous to me that 25% of the number that voted can overturn an election in which 100% of the number voted.
There is no way in the world that 25% should overthrow an election. That 25% number might make sense for enabling petitioners to force an issue on the ballot that asks the full electorate to approve a recall election.
What’s taking place in Wisconsin is a travesty of law and logic, imho.
Why did Barrett keep complaining about Walker’s travels? Tom Barrett has been traveling all over campaigning for governor for the past three years! He’s the one who should be impeached because he’s done nothing for Milwaukee!
It's still a battle though.
Voter fraud and intimidation are still factors
The media would like us to think that this is neck and neck.
After viewing this debate....it’s going to be a Walker landslide.
I’m hoping to watch it on YouTube when I get home from work tomorrow morning.
I DID NOT see the debate tonite, but Checking Daily Kos, it seems the media thinks the ‘Feisty’ Barret ‘had Walker on the ropes all night.
Or as the AP says:
“Democratic Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, down in the polls to Gov. Scott Walker, aggressively went after the first-term Republican in a debate Friday and accused him of purposefully dividing the state and triggering the June 5 recall election.
A feisty Barrett kept Walker on the defensive throughout much of the hour-long debate in Milwaukee, which was broadcast live statewide just 11 days before the election. Walker is only the nation’s third governor to ever stand for recall. The previous two, most recently California Gov. Gray Davis in 2003, were defeated.
Polls show a tight race, with Walker holding a narrow lead within the margin of error of two publicly released polls within the past 10 days.”

From Amanda Terkel at Huffington Post:
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (D) aggressively went after Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) in the first of two gubernatorial debates, taking him to task for an ongoing corruption probe, repeal of an equal pay enforcement law and out-of-state fundraising. Walker largely stuck to his talking points..
The Wash Post says:
Gov. Scott Walker challenged by Tom Barrett in debate on Wisconsin recall.
MILWAUKEE-Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R), facing a recall election on June 5, came under sharp attack here Friday night from his Democratic rival, who accused the governor of creating a political civil war in the state and of seeking to become a right-wing rock star at the expense of the people he serves.
And lastly, from POLITICO:
Democrat Tom Barrett castigated GOP Gov. Scott Walker in their first debate Friday as a divisive political figure who needlessly sparked a political civil war.
The Milwaukee mayor took a decidedly aggressive posture for most of the 60-minute face-off, invoking the civil war charge at least a half a dozen times.
Remember folks, in today’s media world, FACTS NO LONGER MATTER, just the narrative.
AGGRESSIVE?
Barrett’s demeanor was so mealy-mouthed and weasley. A kitten would have been more aggressive.
Well folks, I read the comments on here and I went to YouTube and watched the Debate at 2:30 a.m. I was expecting to see Barrett looking like a blithering idiot and Walker shining like a star. I AM A WALKER SUPPORTER AND I PRAY THAT HE IS NOT RECALLED AND IT WILL BE A CRUSHING DEFEAT FOR THE UNION THUGS. But........
I must say, Barrett got some good licks in on the Governor. I dunno, I’m afraid that Barrett bested Walker to some degree, by hitting below the belt of course.
I think that if Walker wins on June 5th it will also be a blow to Obama and might set the stage for the GOP to take WI in November. I just didn’t think Walker did all that great in rebutting the charges Barrett made against him, and that hurt him.
I’d be interested in having my argument rebutted. I could use some Wisconsin good news about now.
This appears to be a far more balanced piece about the debate and leaves out the liberal buzz words the liberal media so loves to use.
After reading it I came away with the sense Barret had absolutely nothing to say about the issues and spent his entire time attacking Walker without citing evidence to back his claims.
I really tried to read this as an outsider who was bi partisan (even though I am not) so I could more fairly judge what was being said. I would be interested on what you here think after reading this article and comparing it to the AP and other liberal leaning reports.
The Republicans were caught with their pants down, only having lined up poll watchers for the day of the vote, but none for the two weeks of early voting ...
It is not who the polls predict to win, but who turns out the most voters.
On a personal note, driving around the Milwaukee area these past weeks, I've seen smatterings of Recall Walker yard signs, many Stand With Walker signs, but only one (1) Barret sign ...
They’ve chosen the form of their Destroyer and he’s the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
Good points and a recall, if one even should exist, should happen only for criminal acts. This is creating electoral chaos and a kind of democracy.
