Fact is, corporations are people. It may be politically advantageous to talk of evil corporations, but corporations are not entities apart from the people who work in them. That’s not even counting the millions of people, stock and bond holders, who invest in corporations.
That nice new Ford truck sitting in a lot was put there by an amazing number of people cooperating in ways too complex for any mastermind or body of government masterminds to comprehend, but Ford is simply a collection of people.
What bothers me is the way the Democrats demonize corporations and investors. That’s us! Do the Democrats not understand that “investors” include millions upon millions of regular people, like you and me, who’ve purchased a few shares of stock? Do they not understand that regular people, like you and me, work in those corporations or work in other businesses who do business with those corporations?
BTW, Obama is right that profit motives don’t belong in the White House, but wealth redistribution and class/race/gender warfare don’t belong there either!
But the left would have you believe that government is people benevolent in every way. Benevolent bureaucracies? HA! Government is motivated by self interest just like the free market.
Job creation is nobody's goal. Free market capitalism creates jobs and a robust economy as a byproduct of voluntary cooperation in the marketplace driven by self-interest.
Do you think bureaucrats have JOB CREATION as their goal??? Bureaucratic government only has one goal in mind: its own self perpetuation.
Main differences between capitalism and socialism? Capitalism is voluntary, socialism is coerced. Capitalism creates wealth, socialism creates poverty. Capitalism has a robust history of economic success, socialism remains on the ash-heap of history as an unmitigated disaster.
