There was a time when Senators believed president's should have the nominees they chose. If Hatch has a fault its that he served during the 40 years of the filibuster-proof, Democrat-controlled Congress when Republicans had no power and lost every fight. Those old timers still think presidents should have their choices.

You'd have more credibility if you didn't support such a HUGE loon for President (snort).

For the record, the only filibuster-proof Senate Hatch served in was his first, in 1977. It lasted two years.
