Republicans Backing Off Holder Contempt Charges, Exemplifies Systemic RINO Problem

Republicans in Congress better wake up and start freezing some of their own targets against the left if they hope to see a GOP victory in November. The level of corruption, from murdered federal agents to looting taxpayer monies got green companies like Solyndra to the war on religion should be enough to have our elected representatives up in arms.

Yet, there are still legislators who remain squeamish in the face of our constitutional republic's impending demise.

Sarah Palin got it right on Monday while on Fox News' "Hannity."

"This phony, hypocritical, one-sided call for a cease-fire by the left and their lapdogs in the media. These leftists politicians saying 'that's going to be off the table, that's going to be off the table...And then for the Republican operatives who are high-paid consultants to candidates agreeing to take things off the table - that's no battle plan for victory on our side - on the common-sense constitutionalist side. It's ridiculous."

These Republican operatives, Palin maintained, "seem to have the fighting instinct of Mr. Snuffleupagus[.]"

Think Palin is off the mark?

An AP reporter at The Hill is now reporting certain Republican congressmen on Issa's House Oversight committee are "wary of going forward" in citing Attorney General Eric Holder with contempt for his part in Fast and Furious. If true, the first Snuffleupagus awards should go to the following:

If my children violate the rules it is my duty to punish them.

If I were to back down just because they snivel and get mad at me I would be a bad parent and their bad behavior would continue.

No brainer.

I don’t know much about the “Utah voter”, but they’ll probably return that RINO lump to office for his 7th 6yr term than do the right and hard thing: get rid of him and get a real Conservative into the US Senate.

Mark’s jumped-the-shark on several things, since I started listening to him, but he’s still worth it. It’s his opinion and he’s entitled to it, as much as I disagree on certain critical issues.

“When did all the Tea Party members of Congress get neutered?!?”

The day they showed up to work..... The establishment gave them their shoe shine kits told then to shut up and sit down... and they did.

there are only two types of people that go to Washington...the corrupt and the corruptible...

"If Holder is convicted or punished in any way while Obama is still in office he will be pardoned. If an investigation and prosecution occurs after Romney is elected a pardon is not possible. The leverage without a presidential pardon as a possibility should be terrifying to any and all corrupt members of this administration. It would actually be smart for Holder to give up everything now before the election so that he can get a pardon. It is interesting that he did not pursue the New Black Panthers but instead left that case open for a future trial."

I believe that if Obama grants a pardon for any and all acts carried out by Holder during Obama's first term, that would immunize Holder against any future prosecution. If Obama loses, I expect many prospective pardons.

Sometime during the Vietnam Conflict, I came to the conclusion that, at my pre-qualified voting age of 17, there wasn’t a whole lot of difference between the two parties.

That opinion has grown more solid over the intervening years.

I started voting with a simple principal:

Without specific evidence that ANY incumbent had done something truly worthwhile during their previous term, or was the obvious lesser of two evils, ANY challenger is better than ANY incumbent.

I TRULY believe that the FFs had NO inkling that this nation would produce SO MANY bottom feeding career public “servants” who have NEVER done a single, solitary useful commercial thing in their lives, instead sucking the lifeblood out of We the People during their entire existence. (Guess the FFs were not perfect after all)

In a prior post, I stated:

With recognition of Lord Acton’s prophetic principal from 1887 about the relationship of power and corruption, may I reword it to fit what we have seen in these latter days of the USA:

Power corrupts and ANY SIGNIFICANT amount of power will begin the corruption process, usually not reversible, of most people today, beyond any hope of reversal or redemption. “Great” men/women are (or become), these days, seldom anything but selfish, power hungry bad men/women.

(Just review in your own mind for a few moments, the behavior of any member of the public service sector, from local and county through state and up to federal gubmint, and count up any SIGNIFICANT players who have NOT been corrupted.)

I challenge everyone to nominate an elected DC gubmint member who has proven that they hold dear and adhere to the ideals enumerated in the Declaration and the Constitution, with some CONCRETE examples of their defense of We the People.

I know of none, since Sara Palin never made it to DC and McLame certainly wasn’t one.

I do believe that there are still some well intentioned neophytes operating at the state/local level, but the spread of Cancer of the Character via the Corruption Virus escalates infinitely upon induction into the federal machine.

God Almighty, today I’m reading about:

>Wide spread armed drone use in our domestic skies, and a Top Secret Czar charged with maintaining the “Candidates for Assassination List” for the regime.

>The “conservative” candidate’s religion being SIGNIFICANTLY racist. Waiting to see what the regime will do with THAT issue. Forget Bain and all the other issues with Romney, if that aspect of Mormonism has in fact ANY truth to it, we’re doomed for sure.

At this point in time:
We know what has happened to this country.
We know how it happened.

The only questions I have are:

WHY did We the People LET it happen?????
and
Are we going to do something about it or are we going to roll over and let THEM finish the murder of the USA?????

Mark Levin also backs Hatch. His program last night played clip after clip of Hatch’s conservative speeches.

Mark Levin is apparently not overly concerned with illegal immigration then.

If you think Holder is going to be indicted for anything by a republican administration (especially a RINO like Romney), you're smoking something. And I want some of it, because it's gotta be good stuff.

The problem with the GOP cowardice in regards to Fast & Furious is that it enables a utterly corrupt Dept. of Justice to continue with business as usual . The only intellectually honest position a citizen can have with regard to the DOJ is that from the Attorney General of the United States to the members of the newest recruit class are dirty .

The elites of the GOP won’t say this it must be done by we the people to force the hands of the cowards running the GOP.

The only time that Hatch says or does anything ‘Conservative’ is within the last six months before he has to run again for re-election.

I would add that they are shown things that curl their hair and warned that unless they play ball, the world ends and they will suffer greatly.

That they are shown every ‘wrong’ thing they ever did in life and told it will be made public, as will any other little issue people may scoff at from their sex lives to their bad habits.

I’ve long thought about this issue. It’s my belief that there are a lot of gay Republicans and that it’s held as blackmail to force cooperation. There is statistically no way that every pubbie just ‘turns’ once they get there. They are forced to cooperate.

Some are allowed to buck the system on a rotating basis to keep up appearances and bolster reelection prospects so as to not have to ‘retrain’ new members as often.

IMO, but I have yet to see evidence to the contrary.

Congress, and the upper reaches of the government have devolved into a vast ""insider trading" scheme. The money the "heads-up" can make these people as the result of the most seemingly innocuous "legislation," is vast.

Why do so many never inquire as to how their local Congressman went to DC in debt, only to emerge 2 or 3 terms later with a net worth in the millions? This is precisely why the Republicans operate on the theory of "safe seats" and cooperate so enthusiastically with the Democrats. They have in effect, sold the party's right to govern for the chance to make themselves, their families, and their supporters wealthy beyond the dreams of avarice.

Boehner.

There is a line of reasoning for the RINOs.

The GOP, the RNC, and the Republican Establishment in general, have given up on Constitutional government. They are operating on the theory that the Democrat Party is the default party in American politics and that all they can hope for is to hold onto gerrymandered Republican districts ... and at least a seat at the table at which the pirates divide up the swag.

They cynically (they would say, "realistically") believe that the advent of socialism and the end of the republican form of constitutional are both inevitable, so they might as well prepare themselves for it.

That, IMNSVHO, is RINO-World.
