Much as I'd like to say they should have been shot, I can't unless the victim felt she was in immediate danger of being beaten to death. But this is why I always carry layers of defense. Something like this is a perfect opportunity to use a stun device. I wonder how they'd feel with a couple million volts zinging thru their bodies? I've used those devices under actual conditions before and lemme tell you, they WORK!

Excellent!
Locking doors and keeping the windows up also not a bad idea. Slows ‘em down so they can watch as their would-be victim checks the gun just before they run for it. :’)

Something like this is a perfect opportunity to use a stun device. My idea of a stun device is a 230 grain Gold Dot at about 850fps.
You better get used to the fact that we have long passed the "stun" stage.

Much as I'd like to say they should have been shot, I can't unless the victim felt she was in immediate danger of being beaten to deathIf you're sitting in your and someone comes up and starts throwing punches to your head and face, I would say that that qualifies as being in immediate danger of being beat to death. One punch to the temporal lobe can do some serious damage.

I do not know the laws in Colorado, but in many states using a Taser is assault with a deadly weapon.
In other words, if she need to Tase, it would have to be at the same level of personal danger to use a gun.
And a Taser won't work quite the way they do in the movies. You need to train with it, and know its limitations.
