“Will Smith” was trending on Twitter this morning as people reacted to news that the actor lightly backhanded a male reporter who tried to plant a big, juicy kiss on his mouth.

I find it telling that Smith was instantly (unconsciously) horrified & immediately lashed out as any outraged person would do. I’m curious to know if we have any gay FReepers here that have an opinion. I know there are some gay conservatives out there somewhere. I can only hope that Will Smith is getting a big dose of liberalism that will make him question some of his indoctrinated liberal beliefs. I’m not gay, but I am anti flamboyant gay. If those folks keep it low key and out of my site, figure they can do what they want, but open pansyness just creeps me out.

Check out Gay Patriot, a gay conservative website - fiscally and on foreign policy. But they are pro-gay marriage (which doesn't surprise me). Also, read the comment section which has a lot of interesting points of view.

I'd also try Hill Buzz. Although the gay conservative writer, Kevin DuJan, no longer seems involved in the site and I can't find out where he's gone or what happened to him. But then he lives in Chicago and has lots of enemies.

Well, I was raised in a culture where men kissing each other on the cheeks is perfectly acceptable. HOWEVER, it is acceptable only between relatives or very close friends. It is never done between strangers or upon first introductions. The reporter's behaviour was inappropriate in any culture, and his obvious ardor bordered on grotesque public display. In my family's culture, the rebuke would have been far more severe than Mr. Smith's.
