Two police reports written the night that George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin said that Zimmerman had a bloody face and nose, according to police reports made public today.
The reports also note that two witness accounts appear to back up Zimmerman's version of what happened when they describe a man on his back with another person wearing a hoodie straddling him and throwing punches.
In addition, Trayvon Martin's father told an investigator after listening to 911 tapes that captured a man's voice frantically callling for help that it was not his son calling for help.
The new information is part of a trove of documents released by the Florida State Attorney today in the case against Zimmerman, who is charged with second degree murder for the Feb. 26 killing of Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old African American male.

“No jury of objective peers...”
####
Key qualification.
Would you want your ass on the block with some of the American juries (and judges), we have seen in the past few decades?
source?
Mark my words....
Martin AMBUSHED Zimmerman after he lost sight of him and was walking back to his truck to meet the police.
Nope. Any outcome will do.
Can you cite a source? I have not seen that claim in any of the reports I have read yet.
I'm looking for WEB confirmation now.
This exactly fits Zimmerman's testimony.
“If, on the other hand, Zimmerman was chasing Martin, that would just about destroy Zimmermans self defense claim”
That would depend on a few things. What did the “chasing” constitute? Was it a full out run, or more akin to the “following” we’ve long heard about? I don’t know the law that well, does chasing constitute an instigation of violence? Would it allow Martin to turn on Zimmerman and engage him physically, or would the chasee be allowed only to meet violence with violence? If chasing is precipitous to violence is it in such a manner as to remove the possibility of asserting self-defense? Or can you defend youself if someone turns on and starts beating you even if you started it by chasing them?
That being said, at least that would be something for the prosecution to go on. So far all they have is Zimmerman having shot him, a following and a so-called “confrontation” instigated by Zimmerman. Also maybe, maybe not abiding what is not a lawful order and not really an order at all. Finally, a supposed depraved mindset based on nothing more than previous dislike of crime and unsupported charges of racial profiling.
If Zimmerman was chasing Martin I don’t know if that would sink his case entirely, but at least it would give the prosecution an excuse for trying him, aside from placating Al Sharpton.
Having a little pot in your systems hardly makes one a walking pharmacy.
It would be a Trayvon-esty of justice if Zimmerman is convicted.
Its now obvious the prosecutor in this case should be disbarred.
They thought they had this one nailed and would get away with it.She’ll just say she was confused on the evidence and her boss will dock her a days pay.Even if she was fired, she’d just go somewhere else and get a better job with more money.
There is nothing inherently wrong with a neighborhood watch guy or anyone else following a person on a public street, possibly even “chasing” after them to keep up. That would not justify the followee beating the daylights out of his follower. Indeed, a follower who was in contact with police and providing the police information.
Seems awfully unlikely Zimmerman “attacked” Martin. Zimmerman sustained multiple injuries before firing.
I’m active in my neighborhood though not a neighborhood watch. I’ve called the police to report suspicious people. The police are always supportive. If I called the police and the guy started beating the tar out of me, I’d damn well think I had been suspicious for a good reason.
Gun shot distance info here.
“What you refer to as the “biggest piece of evidence” from what YOU’VE seen is certainly not something that the rest of us have heard much about - what site did you find this on (Democratic Underground perhaps)?? To most of the population, the injuries AND the THC in Travon’s blood are “big pieces of evidence.” While you may want to only address those pieces of evidence that back up your obvious defense of Travon, most of us are more interested in getting the ENTIRE story - justice requires that you get the whole story and not “cherry pick” to get the outcome you want.
"On 3/1/2012, at approximately 1900 hours, while conducting a re-canvass of the neighborhood, I located [redacted] at [redacted]. [Redacted] stated she was home on the evening of 2/26/2012 at approximately 1915 hours when she heard a commotion coming from the walkway behind her residence. [Redacted] states she looked out her sliding glass door and observed two men chasing each other, a fistfight between the two men, and then she heard a gunshot. When asked to clarify her observations, she stated she could not identify either of the two men, but she did state the person in pursuit of the person being pursued was approximately 10' - 12' behind."
I didn’t hear Trayvon had drugs in his system. If true, depending on the levels, certainly drug use could impair his judgment.
The media is blind to Trayvon’s motivation. He was on suspension from school, and probably pissed that someone was calling the police on him to get him in more trouble. Plus he was visibly taller and younger and would think (accurately) that he could beat Zimmerman up. Did he know Zimmerman was talking to police? Certainly Zimmerman was on the phone through most of this, I’d assume he was calling police.
To any impartial observer the drugs, Trayvon’s status at school, would be very relevant to understanding what happened.
Same reason Nifong concocted charges. POLITICS.
Don’t matter now, Zimmerman is gone. If he beats the State’s kangeroo court, Holder’s goons will grab him. Zimmerman has now become a political cause. Self hating White Liberals, America’s favorite reverends, and media, and those that are opposed to allowing citizens to defend themselves from attacks by criminals will not allow it to die.
Zimmerman = Emmanuel Goldstein
Trayvon had pot in his system, we knew he was a druggie and we could assume that the walk to the store was to get away from dad and get high.
