Well I for one want to see solid proof either way. So far there is no proof of anything so what do you want Mark (or anyone) to say?
Fudd, there IS a ton of EVIDENCE but there is also an ongoing investigation......
these lil tidbits are not from the investigation
What would constitute proof for you? Are you talking about proof that there was a publicist's claim that he was born in Kenya? Since they have already issued a statement that they just made a mistake, that would seem to be an admission against interests that the existence of this long standing claim is true.
I sort of know how publicity for obscure authors works. My wife did this for a number of years a McGraw Hill. She didn't just wing it; and her releases were submitted for approval to the client and her boss. The claim the some publicist would just coincidentally write that he was born in Kenya is preposterous. (Coincidentally with suspicions of people such as moi. See my: Letter to an Israeli Cousin. This letter was written before the fraudulent April 27 "Birth Certificate" was released, but you should get the idea; and if you want more about the fraud, I could certainly point you to it.)
What should Levin say about it? I don't know; maybe he could just acknowledge that it's out there. His insight about what he thinks it might mean IF it were true would be interesting to this listener.
But he's just following orders, I guess.
