Trayvon Martin, the 17-year-old who was shot and killed by a neighborhood watch volunteer, had the drug THC in his system the night of this death, according to new information obtained by ABC News.
The revelation came as prosecutors in the case prepared to release to the public hundreds of pages of new evidence along with videos and crime scene photos.
Martin's death sparked public outrage after police released Martin's shooter, George Zimmerman, without any criminal charges for the killing.
Zimmerman, 28, is a multi-racial Hispanic man who shot the black high school junior at close range on Feb. 26, and claimed self-defense, though Martin was unarmed. Zimmerman was later charged with second-degree murder, and the killing provoked widespread debate about racial profiling.

“He says: I start to panic and think everyones talking about me.”
Tell him they are talking about someone else.
Give him some juice and Girl Scout cookies.
That’s what true friends would do.....and watch old TV shows with him until he takes a sweet nap.
“Fox News just showed the photo and said it was made by one of the first responders with his cellphone.”
Thanks, House Atreides.
Why did it take so dang long to get this photo public?
That would be a surprise to Zimmerman. Poor fella’. Is he and his family going to have to uproot and change name and go into hiding for the rest of their lives?
I had an African American friend in college.
Most laid back, good guy you’d ever meet.
Turned down race based scholarships.
Fun to drink with.
But man, one puff on a joint, and he was the meanest most belligerent person you’d ever meet.
I recall him causing a huge seen at a Wendys’ once. He claimed the server gave him cold fries. He proceeded to throw them at her and wouldn’t stop yelling at her until we all made him leave.
Thanks, CA Conservative! So, the DA had it by then?
Willie Nelson, Weed Historian, really should be on this thread!
Ha, ha, ha!
What is a “UA packet”?
TIA.
Unless you are filled with 150 years of misplaced BLACK RAGE against whitey. Then it just makes you more stupid.
“It also enhances perception- colors are more intense, hearing is sharpened, sex is through the roof....”
Hello, Yollopoliuhqui,
You busy this weekend?!
Ha, ha, ha!
“Were you in college with me?”
It sounds like a lot of people on this thread went to the same college!
Any more Pink Floyd fans out there? Should we start a Ping list? Ha!
“Is there anyone out there?”
Ha!

Treeless Branch...it is such a downer to hear a pothead going bad story.
Poor Wendy’s server. Probably still thinks about it and avoids going to Wendy’s.
Ha!
Ping!
If pot makes you mellow, then why do all gang members smoke pot? You would think they would never go and commit any crimes if they were mellowed out on pot.
This is FR, not a lab.
Thanks
BAD sentence construction. I should have said that one of our cases was a professional diver that drowned under those circumstances based on the investigation. He and his victim had a freezer full of white powder that they thought was cocaine. Bad buy, it was PCP. They had an argument while under the influence of PCP and the victim/friend looked like he was chopped while turning on a turntable or a spit. Interesting pattern of cuts and defensive wounds from a machete. A witness saw the diver trying to, at least that how it looked to him, wash the clothes he was still wearing while standing knee deep in water. The witness did not see him drown. No waves.
Urinalysis paperwork that comes from the Air Force Drug Testing Laboratory when somebody tests positive for a banned substance. It’s what the prosecution relies on to prove its case where there are no witnesses to the use - called a “naked U/A” case.
From what I understand, he was out of his car when he first saw Trayvon, and after being told they didn't need him to keep following Trayvon, he was on his way back to the car when Trayvon jumped him.
So how does that make him guilty of not staying in his car?
Some of the witnesses confirmed that it was Zimmerman calling for help. One woman thought that the guy on top was the heavier man. That doesn't fit what we know of Trayvon and Zimmerman's relative sizes, but it was dark and she may have been questioned some time afterwards. Anyway I think it is common for eyewitnesses to have conflicting memories of what they saw.
Fox seemed to want to support the special prosecutor as much as they could. Later Bill O'Reilly was talking about what a great guy Crump is (the Martins' lawyer).
Yes, they will have to prove from Zimmerman’s statement that he was looking for a fight - stalking Martin so that Martin felt threatened and attacked him in self defense.
From what I know, Zimmerman was trying to see where Martin was going so he could tell the dispatcher -he was not trying to challenge Martin. He was a attacked after he told the dispatcher that he had lost sight of Martin as he was returning to his car. If he had done what the cop in that report suggested and had spoken to Martin, then they would blame him for “fighting words” or some stupid excuse.
Fox news jumped on the bandwagon along with the Republican that commented in support of the witch hunt in it’s early stages. At that point they did not know enough to say anything at all. They became a part of the lynch mob by joining the klan with the tan. The have the blood of innocent whites who have been attacked by jacked up black racist mobs, on their hands. I will have to say Bill O has reported on and denouced one of the hate crimes that happened in Va. to a couple of white reporters. They have ignored all the other black on white hate cases.
If this prosecutor has no evidence supporting second degree murder charges - she pulled a Nifong and must be sued an prosecuted like he was.
