Take out the restrictions on alcohol usage and see how many sign. I couldn’t sign this for that one reason. I like a beer with dinner every so often.
Everything else I have no problem with.
There is a world of difference between drunkeness (which the Bible condemns) and drinking (which the Bible does not condemn, and, in some passages, enjoins).
A distinction apparently lost on their powers that be.
The pledge I read does not prohibit a beer with dinner unless there was a University function you were required to attend within 6 hours of drinking that beer or you were inviting students over to have dinner with you.
You can drink your beer at home all you want.
