Her regimen is a brutal, six- (sometimes seven) day-a-week mix of roller skiing, biking, running and strength training. Pull-ups are a fairly unpleasant experience for most humans, but the ones Ms. Randall does resemble a form of medieval torture. She straps on a belt with a chain dangling from it and attaches a 60-pound weight to it. Or she’ll pull herself up with such power that she is able to clap her hands above the bar and then grab it to slowly lower herself. Eight is her record.
All of that and a very nice smile!
Yeah, and the U.S. navy issues bottoms with nametags over the buttocks so that Seamen will remember the name of who they were with the night before.
Rum Sodomy and the Lash - as Winston Churchill would have it.
USAF!!!! ;)
He says if women are eventually allowed to serve in the infantry, they would have to go to Ranger school in order to be competitive with their male counterparts as they move through the ranks.
Going to Ranger school does not automatically mean they would be allowed to serve in one of the Army's three elite Ranger battalions, which are Army special operations forces. Women are not allowed to serve as special operators.
“and her navigator killed.
I thought her RIO survived. He saw what was happening and punched out; she would have flown that thing all the way to the water screaming.
This is, simply put, the most asinine proposal of the century.
All it will accomplish will be to relax the standards for our most elite military groups and make liberals “feel good”.
We can’t get the boy emperor out of office fast enough.
I was in the F-14 Community(VF-111) as an TARPS Intel Analyst 1988-1991, had a front row seat to the carnage my Navy inflicted upon itself as a result of Tailhook ‘91.
I think he died, but I could be wrong.
Now it’s two on one.
Actually, I have! I don’t think they’re snake eaters though! ;^)
And I cannot imagine the RIs changing their demeanor. That would mean lawsuits. Lots of 'em.

You are right her RIO BARELY survived.
I never got as much out of adding weight to a pull up as I did from just increasing repetitions or making pull ups part of an intense superset or triset. But whatever works for you in this regard - DO IT!
Correct.
Yep, just as long as the _exact_ same standard are kept. That includes combat loads and injured comrade carry requirements.
There are increasing numbers of people around the world who either want to eat our lunch of just plain kill us. The world economy is tottering and desperate nations and politicians do desperate things. This BS PC social engineering of our military is going to come back and bite us in the ass. We are going to face a real 1st world opponent sooner or later, probably sooner, and they are going to clean our clocks. We will be faced with surrender or going nuclear. Think it can’t happen? Watch.
I thought the RIO survived?
I read somewhere that he initiated the ejection sequence, but by the time she was ejected 0.4 seconds later, the aircraft had rolled to where she ejected straight down into the sea, killing her instantly.
Whiskey Rangers. God help us.
