How does Lancaster county lean? That appears to have the biggest outstanding number of votes of the counties on the Sec of States website.
Glad to hear she is ahead of Kerrey. I thought since Bruning and Stenberg had statewide election experience that they might be stronger. It will be good to have another conservative (presumably pro life) woman senator.
Fischer lost Douglas by ~3000 votes. She’s currently up ~5000 votes. But Lancaster County has more precincts than Douglas.
I’m calling it for Fischer. She’s up by 4% with almost all of Douglas County (Omaha) in and with all of suburban Sarpy County in; Lancaster County (Lincoln) is only half in, but Bruning is barely ahead of Fischer there. A lot of Western Nebraska (Fischer’s strongest area) is still out, including all of Buffalo County. I think that Fischer will win by at least 5%.
Just one week ago, this result would have been unimaginable. This is a huge victory for grassroots conservatives. Hopefully, a bit of this will rub off on Utah, Texas and Florida primary voters.
These kinds of elections have national importance! I’m in New Mexico and I can’t stop watching this race! Praying to Fischer!
Fischer is over 40% now, with 1272/1785 precincts counted.
How does Lancaster county lean
However Rove wants them to lean.
If Deb wins, and she looks like she’s going to pull it out, don’t forget to send a thank-you to Eric Holder. Bruening had this locked up, until the stories started to come out a few weeks ago that he had endorsed Holder, AND STILL CONTINUED TO SUPPORT HIM..and when he refused to recant, well, the tide turned..
Kudos indeed! And, it'd be almost worth turning on the TV to see Rove and the rest of the GOPe explain this one away.
Deb Fischer seems to be pulling away now. Could be quite a victory for Tea Party forces. I just hope she is strong for the general election.

She polls way ahead of Kerrey in preliminary polls. It should be a cake walk for her if she wins the primary. And you guys are rightbig kudos for Palin for this one. Its still early, but Im beginning to feel better about this race now.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
If Fischer’s momentum holds and she wins tonight, I suspect Palin will be back in force.
You betcha!
The Hugh victory also goes to Sarah and her pull who pretty much sealed the deal and open the floodgates for Fischer once she endorse - Sarah Power
Same here and I'm in Iowa!!
Sarah Palin’s endorsement!
Oops. My bad. I guess they only have the colors filled in when all of the precincts have reported. So Omaha does have almost all their precincts reported now. I wonder where the outstanding precincts are located.
Looks like the places Bruning is leading are close to Omaha, along the Missouri River. I’m wondering if this is the effect of the Tea Party in Omaha endorsing Bruning.
There’s no way I could vote in the primary for somebody who wrote a letter to Congress strongly recommending that they confirm Eric Holder as Attorney General. No. Way.
My group, Stand With Arizona is thrilled with the results thus far. We endorsed Deb Fischer because of Bruning’s disgraceful support for Eric Holder and former La Raza radical Thomas Perez at DOJ - even now after all they’ve done against Arizona, Texas and S.C. On Voter I’D, and Sheriff Joe.. We sent out emails to our 11,000 Nebraska members yesterday and hope these results hold up!
Looks like a good call.
Only about a third of Lincoln is in, but if current proportions hold Bruning would only net about a 1k on the rest. He’s currently down about 6k with 77% of precincts in statewide. If current trends hold the Tea Party wins another. On to Cruz through Texas, then Walker over the unions in Wisconsin, then sit back to watch the primary season’s final episode of Rhino Lost!, “Down the Hatch.”
Anyone have a link to any NE TV station with live election coverage?..I’d like to watch Deb claim victory..
AP just called it for Fischer
How does Lancaster county lean?
However Rove wants them to lean.

LOL -— But I hope there’s not TOO much Rove induced leaning. Lancaster has been stuck at only 79 out of 203 precincts reporting for some time now. I don’t know much about Nebraska politics but I’m trusting Lancaster county is not copying Cook county in Illinois.
