You Are a Full-time Foodie |
Food is an important part of your life, and there's no denying it. You're probably at least a decent cook, and you have a very sophisticated palette.
You're up on food trends, and you're always looking to sample something new and different. You figure that if you're going to eat three meals a day, you might as well make them an adventure. |

Looked good....I love Thai food (if that’s what it is) but it doesn’t like me. I get sick every time I eat it. Not too handy when you’re actually there! LOL!

Its Vietnamese beef noodle soup.
Not really spicy unless you add to it at the table.
I like to add the peppers, the sriracha sauce, the hoisin sauce, lime juice and all the Vietnamese herbs and bean sprouts.
Yummo!

YOU ARE A DISCIPLE OF ESCOFFIER AND THE GREAT JAMES BEARD!
In the Kitchen, you accept nothing but the best. You spare no effort in bringing memorable repasts to the table for family and friends!
You have the resources, the knowledge and the resolve to bring your culinary dreams to fruition.
While you are known to be adventurous in the Kitchen, your practices are grounded in classic, time tried methods lesser techniques are for the prols and Philistines! Escoffier is your inspiration, followed by his accomplished acolyte James Beard.
Bon Appetit, Mes Amis! |

Most Viet isn’t particularly spicy, but it is incredibly flavorful.
I did however say in the quiz I would go for Ethiopian food.
Lot’s of that is incredibly spicy

MAY ALMIGHTY GOD UPHOLD AND DEFEND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
I love this Nation as dearly as I love my own life.
I fought for it willingly and proudly, as members of my family have done since the American Revolution, and still do to this very day.
In my youth, I spilled my blood for it on the Field of Battle.
In my old age, I will fight for it again, and, if necessary, give my life for it to advance the cause of Liberty.
I will not sit idle while Marxists, atheists, perverts and traitors work their evil machinations to undo the heroic efforts and sacrifices of over two centuries of Patriots and thereby bring this great Nation to its knees.
God Bless and protect the United States of America The Beacon of Freedom shining through the darkness of a World beset by Tyranny!
God Bless and Protect our Gallant Troops of all Services by virtue of their service and sacrifice we continue to live in Freedom!
With the help of Almighty God, may the Right and our Beloved Nation prevail!

I started grilling with the book "Beard on Barbecue", originally owned by my ex-wife. As it happens she was a master chef - same with her mom and grandmother. I still have that book, as well as several other Beard titles. They have served me well in the Kitchen. He was a master of many different cuisines - from pasta to bread to seafood to game, etc. His recipes, IMHO, beat the tar out of most of the contemporary offerings we see today. We'll not see his like again in our time.

Good evening, Kathy!
*HUGS*
Sorry I'm late as well - I was diverted by son #3, who needed to get an online application in for a Summer job.
Thanks for the great Foodie thread!
Another great one was the irrepressible Julia Child:

“The Joy of Cooking” was my introduction to technique.
Much had been imparted via the family, but “Joy” introduced me to technique, from Kentucky to France.
