Free Republic is a pro-God (that’s the Judeo-Christian God for those in Rio Linda), pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Gun, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-Liberty, pro-Small (Limited) Government, pro-Declaration, pro-Private Property, pro-Strong Defense, pro-Borders, etc, ie, a grassroots pro-Traditional American Conservatism site.

The members are allowed to post their opinions, even the ABO and pro-Romney freepers. The fact that you disapprove of certain opinions and want those banned instead says a lot more about you.
You aren’t against zots and bans, you would just have different targets, right?
The official position of this forum, as stated by JR is NO PREFERENCE on the Romney-Obama race and to focus on Senate and House races that conservatives can still win. Jim Robinson himself said that you can vote for whomever (I expect 85% of FReepers would probably vote Romney) but that this site is not going to campaign for the guy.
People are free to criticize religion, I have posted critical remarks about Catholics without any fear of the zot. I have also bashed scientology and the Children of God sex cult. You think the Mormon religion should be free of criticism? Should it have special status?
No it should not.
If you want to see what is really offensive see how Mittbots keep saying that a vote for anyone but Romney is a vote FOR Obama. Nobody on this forum supports Obama and accusing people of it wrongfully should be a bannable or timeout offense. Just my opinion.

I don’t think folks are trying to convince others to vote for Romney. Speaking for myself, I can’t vote for him, but I’m not an evangelist on the subject. What I am doing, though, is speaking up when I see people trying to whitewash Romney, to paint him as something he isn’t, even label him a wooooonderful man (I’ve actually seen that kind of thing lately).
Also, I DO see people who are voting for Romney trying to convince the rest of us to change our minds.
One more thing; you say Mitt is an unknown cipher. Not at all. His record is clear-—it’s almost entirely liberal.

The point would be to regain the potential for the Right to act by having the appropriate majority representation in the Senate don’t you think. If we are represented by our own, we stand a chance to kick butt, and force those wuss RINO’s to keep him in check. Those wuss RINO’s work at our consent.
Let’s get those Right reps in there, and give ourselves the opportunity to put them to work for us. WE are the people this government is of, by, and for, are we not?

If you really don’t know how “Mittens” will govern, then you need to take some time and do a little research before you endorse him. When you do a little research, you will discover that he is a big government liberal who is pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, and anti-Christian. And he thinks the government should dominate our health care system from top to bottom.
If elected, Romney will pursue the same socialist agenda that Obama pursues and Romney will implement that agenda with the support of the many RINO’s that have helped to somewhat defend us from Obama.
Trust God. Reject Obama and Romney. They are two sides of the same socialist coin.
