They also said their deputies have been told not to overreact if someone does not immediately pull over.
I hope this little bit of instruction is repeated daily to Mississippi's Finest.
It would be a shame for an innocent to end up with a nasty case of Self Inflicted blunt force trauma because they didn't pull over quickly enough.

The use of unmarked cars for traffic patrol or to innate a traffic stop has always been a bad policy. All patrol cars involved in traffic patrol nation wide should be plainly marked with POLICE and agency on the door with a high profile light bar. TVA security for years in Tennessee had SUV’s with no agency markings.

The Tate County Sheriff's Office posted a warning for drivers on their Facebook page: So we have gotten to where a Facebook page notice serves as a public warning?
You're kidding, right?

DeSoto County also issued the same warning and is ceasing the use of all the county's unmarked patrol cars. Smart move. Frankly, I wouldn't pull over for an unmarked car anywhere in that environs.
Supposed there is no cell coverage? How are you going to call 911 and verify the unmarked car is really a cop?

DeSoto County also issued the same warning and is ceasing the use of all the county's unmarked patrol cars. All it took was the killing of two citizens to pull those unmarked cars off the road. Was it worth it? Jack Benny: "I'm thinking . . . I'm thinking".

DeSoto County also issued the same warning and is ceasing the use of all the county's unmarked patrol cars.I've got to thinking, why are unmarked patrol cars even needed now in this age of paramilitary police, Homeland Security and in-your-face TSA?
Seems like the unmarked car just functions as an insult to injury anymore.

"The concern is that someone is posing as a law enforcement officer" More likely a law enforcement officer abusing his authority.

“If someone attempts to pull you over with flashing lights and you feel unsure of stopping, DON’T PULL OVER. Use your cell phone and dial 911 and if it’s a real officer then the dispatcher will confirm it for you and if it’s not a real officer they will send help to you.”
However, be aware that if it is a real police officer and you don’t pull over, they will murder you and especially your dog, if you fail to pull over.
That is all. Have a nice day. :)

Use your cell phone and dial 911 and if it's a real officer then the dispatcher will confirm it for you and if it's not a real officer they will send help to you."I told our daughter this along time ago. She's not required to stop, just because she sees flashing lights behind her.

Here in Arizona unmarked pull people over. I for one will not. This how Ken Bianchi of hill side strangler fame was able to get some of his victims.

Be careful going into Millington, speed trap deluxe, especially now with the money crunch and the putting in of a new exist ramp. Blue lights all over the place.
NEVER JUST PULL OVER, PULL OVER INTO A BUSY AREA, SIGNAL OFFICE YOU ARE COMPLYING, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE CCW.
