Show me any organized religion who doesn't think their brand is right and everybody else is wrong and I'll show you a hollowed-out PC centered church with empty pews and vacant buildings. Nobody has a reason to give them any business since they are already supporting the PC centered state church with their tax dollars. This is the actual situation in most of western Europe.

Healthy religious debate is just as important to keeping the theological body healthy as is healthy political debate to keeping the body politic healthy.

Debate ceases to be healthy when one side attempts to bludgeon or shout down another to silence.

Case in point: I will respect the right of the gay lobby to push for civil unions or other legislation which they feel may be needed to secure their rights but does not involve rewriting the definition of marriage to forcibly impose on the other 97% of us.

Likewise, I will respect the rights of all religions to attempt to convert me or persuade me to their line of thinking as long as they do not threaten to convert me by force or pay a portion of my income as a tax to remain unmolested. Note that respect for said rights to proselyte does not equal agreement with that which is proselytized about.

You haven't been apparently paying attention to Islam....They are growing, they aren't PC...and they keep building.
