Thank you. I absolutely concur with what you said. I had posted to this person that I am indeed a sinner. We all are. We are not sinners because of sin. We sin because we are sinners. We are responsible. Since Adam we are responsible. Many just do not want to believe that. That is sad and I do pray for them.

Believe me, I know the difference. I was in the military for 20 plus years. During that period of my life, I allowed myself to drift away from what I KNEW as a child and young person before I went into the military. Unfortunately, military chapels are either Jewish, Catholic or "Protestant." You actually, when attending chapel, could get a Jewish rabbi or Catholic priest doing a Protestant service. I don't think a Jewish chaplain is going to do a great job of trying to teach Christians about Jesus, when he does not believe Jesus as we do. This caused me to go to many chapel services and come away completely empty. Thus, I allowed myself to slip away. It was only when I was stationed in the states that I could actually attend a service of my Christian, Jesus, Bible believing faith. After retirement, I finally was able to settle down and restore myself in my faith in God. I asked God to forgive me for slipping away and have renewed myself and will never allow something like that to come between me and God again. I love the USA and our military and I pray for them daily. But, God comes first to me. That is simply the way it is and the way it is going to remain! God bless. Have a great Sunday.

Good Morning Sir.

That is a powerful testimony, thanks for sharing it. I would suggest that while you view your journey as including a period of ‘slipping away’, God never took His Hands off of you, you are His sovereign property. I fail Him all the time, but He never fails me. None of us by our own efforts are able to meet His standards. But I (and I’m sure you do too) try to live by a very simple rule, which is:

“Every day, do our best, and trust Jesus for the rest”.

Hope your Sunday is likewise, a fine one.
