A super PAC supporting Texas Lt. Governor David Dewhurst's Senate campaign has released an internal poll showing him at 57 percent in the GOP race with less than three weeks left until the primary.
The poll shows Dewhurst at 57 percent, followed by Ted Cruz at 16 percent, Tom Leppert at 12 percent, and Craig James at 4 percent. Eleven percent were undecided.
If Dewhurst finishes with over 50 percent of the vote on May 29, he wins the nomination outright. If not, the top two finishers will advance to a July 31 runoff.
The Perception Insight poll of 800 Texas Republican primary voters was conducted for the Texas Conservatives Fund from May 1-7 and carries a margin of error of +/- 3.5 percentage points.

Face it, gnat, you lost the argument and keep on beating a dead horse. I have to conclude you are either getting paid for your spamming by the DewCrist campaign, or you are a certifiable masochist... unless you are both.
Just say NO to DewCrist !
Fieldmarshal, you really need to look up the definition of spam.
All I have done is reply to posters.
And only to posters who are attacking an experienced proven conservative David Dewhurst, on behalf of an unproven lawyer who is trying to get elected to his very first elective office by co-opting the tea-party movement, which I support.
But you still have the best about page.
"...posters who are attacking an experienced proven conservative David Dewhurst,"
And there is the definition.
“Fieldmarshal, you really need to look up the definition of spam.” “...posters who are attacking an experienced proven conservative David Dewhurst,” And there is the definition.”
Huh?
Besides being a canned ham-like meat, spam is the use of electronic messaging systems to send unsolicited bulk messages indiscriminately.
I have carefully only answered messages posted on the thread to the interested parties making the posts, which happen to involve unsubstanted attacks on a fellow conservative running for office.
Contrary to your crazy and false idea I have anything to the do with the Dewhurst campaign, if Cruz wins I will support him fully and hope he turns out to be half the conservative and advocate for the State of Texas that Dewhurst is.
The tea-party movement will get nowhere if their campaigns become based on accusing conservatives of being liberals instead of inspiring conservatives to be better conservatives.
All I was pointing out to the Dewhurst attackers was that Dewhurst does not deserve to be lumped in with Charlie Crist, Dick Lugar, Mike Castle, Bennett, Hatch, and a plethora of other republicans who are liberal. And they were never ever able to back up their claims that he should.
Spam: Repeating the same debunked talking points over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...
Oh. I see that you make up your own definitions for words that have commonly accepted meanings.
Except that my list of truths in post #58 proving that Dewhurst is conservative was never “debunked”. In fact, none of the truths I listed specifically one by one at the request of bigun was ever shown to be untrue. Take ‘em one by one yourself and you will find no falsehood in the list.
"proving that Dewhurst is conservative was never debunked."
You mean making up your own definitions like this ? Your projections are crossing over into nervous hospital patient territory.
Absolutely it's not about me or you either for that matter! It's about who the state of Texas will send to Washington to represent us in the United States Senate and there is absolutely NO question as to who will do a better job of that! Ted Cruz is the man for that job!
I’m talking about you making up your own definition of what spam is.
Well that's a first! I have never heard that form anyone before. Most, like me, who have had the misfortune to have to sit through a Dewhurst speech found it much better than any sleeping pill.
At this point I'm inclined to agree with whoever it was that said you were nothing more than a paid Dewhurst shill!
F.O. I have exactly zero more time to waste on you newby! Go tell them that you have been unmasked and that your effectiveness has been compromised!
Now, without explaining exactly why, at least you are saying you think Cruz would be better for Texas, instead of hatin’ on Dewhurst.
Not in my book! IK’m voting for Cruz!
Now I’m beginning to think you are not the politically connected, wise master-of-the-universe power-behind-the- throne you attempt to portray yourself as.
Just another name-calling old coot who can’t figure out why he (or is it she?) can’t get along with anybody.
Not in my book, what? You mean Dewhurst is not conservative enough to be in your book of conservatives?
By all means, take a chance on Cruz, then. I bet you will be disappointed. I have refrained throughout this whole thread from saying anything bad about your man, Cruz. Just trying to keep it positive.
I hope you noticed that my postings have all been about defending Dewhurst from defamatory attacks, and defending myself from the name-calling and disrespect by the Cruz people for daring to call them on their unsupported accusations.
You think whatever you like sonny!
Now go play in the street! No one here is buying your snake oil!
I’m talking about you making up your own definition of what a Conservative is.
Better to take a chance on POSSIBLY being disappointed by Ted Cruz than being absolutely GUARANTEED to be disappointed by the liberal RINO establishment phony DewCrist !
“You think whatever you like sonny!
Now go play in the street!”
Thanks! I think I will. With the grandkids! Makes me feel younger all the time!
Now, press the button and ask your nurse to bring you a bottle of Ensure.
I think you will be more disappointed when Dewhurst wins and represents the people of the State of Texas well and votes the right way on all the conservative issues while in the U.S Senate.
I think there’s a better chance of a flock of pigs flying out of your ass than that deceitful RINO phony DewCrist voting right.
