Actually, like almost everything in the media, the article gets it wrong. Eminem wasn't knocking Cranbrook. He was saying that the other rapper who pretended to be a Detroit gangsta from the streets was really a rich kid who attended an exclusive private school. Eminem was saying the other rapper was a phony. Eminem wasn't commenting on the quality of a Cranbrook education. If anything he was saying the other rapper was fortunate because he was able to go there.
They tried to turn it into an attack on Romney. The article is dishonest.

No different than Robbie Van Winkle claiming he grew up on the streets of Miami, when he really lived in a middle-class suburb of Dallas.....you know him better as “Vanilla Ice.”

When someone can tell me who Obama’s father really was,
When someone can tell me what country Obama was born in,
When someone can tell me what Muslim prayers Obama learned by heart in Indonesia and prays with daily,
When someone can tell me what kind of dog(s), how many and where, Obama ate,
When someone can tell me what status student Obama applied for at Occidental, Columbia and Harvard, and who/what/where paid for his education,
When someone can tell me exactly why Obama has a SSAN from Connecticut which is also the number of a dead man,
When someone can show me a Selective Service draft card and provide some comment from ANYONE at the controlling draft board having ANY recollection of him AT ALL,
When someone can show me one effing report card, transcript, thesis or even a hall pass from ANY school or university he EVER attended,
When someone can tell me what passports he’s been issued and used before he became a fraudulent president,
Then I am ready to look at and consider something Mitt Romney did half a century ago.

So this is what politics has become; a reference by a white rapper becomes an attack piece. Well, at least mothers are not breastfeeding 3 year olds on the cover of Time Magazine..

No doubt Obama spent most of his life in da hoodz on the hard streets Hawaii?
One day a street punk from da hoodz and the next day a Harvard lawyer and finally President.
Man America really sucks!

The PALINIZATION of Romney has begun...
It doesn’t matter what is true or not, just thow a bunch of crap out there, using your willing allies in the largely-gay run media, and hope enough of it sticks with the Sheeple to create a negative impression.
And you wonder WHY Gay Marriage was so mportant to Obama, right now??

Barack Hussein Obama never attended public school.
If the media thinks playing up Mitt’s prep school is going to win Obama points in the class war, they are misleading the public.
Barry’s kids don’t even go to public school.

The WaPo article is a hit piece similar to the CBS “fake but accurate” TANG story directed against Bush. Turns out that the source was an Obama staffer, and the family of the so-called victim says it is factually inaccurate.

FYI, Rep. John Conyers' children attend(ed) Cranbrook. I found this when I Googled it to confirm my recollections:
"John Conyers, if we may quote convicted felon Monica Conyers, needs to control his own house. According to Finley, (of the Detroit News) its not appropriate for a guy bribing the wife of House Judiciary Chairman to pay for said Chairmans childrens tuition at Cranbrook."

It's a stupid attack. Romney is a rich businessman and a son of a rich businessman who sent him to Cranbrook. If Romney tried to portray himself as a working class guy, this would be an issue, but as much as he's an etch a sketch, he's never claimed to be anything but a rich businessman in this case. (although he didn't inherit his money). He's not John Kerry.
