On Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden declared that the United States had been “the problem” in regards to Iran during the Bush Administration, but that things have changed for the better now that President Obama is in office.
Republican Arizona Sen. John McCain disagrees. In an appearance on Wednesday’s “Kilmeade & Friends” on Fox News Radio, McCain referenced Biden’s record on foreign policy, not only as vice president but also as a Senator. According to McCain, Biden has been consistently “wrong” on these issues going back to the 1990s.
“The reality is that this vice president has been wrong on every major issue for the last 20 years,” McCain said. “He’s the one that said Desert Storm — remember Desert Storm — was going to be another Vietnam. He’s that one that said the surge wouldn’t work. He’s the one that said he wanted to divide Iraq into three different countries.”
McCain also said that Biden and Obama had managed to “lose the peace” in Iraq and that the vice president’s comments on Afghanistan have been counterproductive. In his travels to the region, McCain said, he’s learned that the United States is in a weaker position than it was before Obama and Biden took office.
“I travel in the region a lot, Brian,” he said. “And I tell you that they believe the American leadership is lacking, that leading from behind doesn’t work.“They believe we’re withdrawing and I’ve been in this business for a long, long time and I have never seen the United States of America weaker than it is today. And, it’s hilarious that that statement comes from the individual who as a senator and a vice president has been consistently wrong on every major national security issue for the last 20 years.”

There's a lot of back chatter that Joe is going to step on his Schwantz big time and have to leave the ticket. He'll be justly compensated for his service blah, blah blah. Hillary does sound like the logical fill and can help the ticket. She's pretty attuned to the political climate and if Obama is doing as bad in the internal polls that has been leaked, I would believe she wouldn't insert herself into a possible losing situation. That would pretty much taint her meat for her 2016 attempt, providing she doesn't look like Throw Mamma (Ann Ramsey) From the Train by then
Uh, well - let's see - I don't disagree with the sentiment - but this is a rare case when McCain is saying the right thing. Let's not discourage that.
And methinks he will retire in 2016 and you won't need to target him.

Sounds like the DC establishment is setting Joe up for a case of dementia. Hillary to step up and fill in for Joe.
However, by 2014, Miss Meghan will have turned 30 -- old enough to qualify for the U.S. Senate.
I've little doubt that McCain would retire in mid-term if he could finagle a way to have his daughter appointed to his seat.
So, in 2016, Arizonans might find a different McCain on the ballot.

All these items about Joe Biden’s incompetence are just the Dem’s positioning to boot him off the ticket. Returning to the 2008 strategy, the plan is for lap-dog media to provide loads of free publicity around a hyped up drama about the decision and announcement. They will create a huge fake Hillary buzz, then semi-buzzes as representatives of every Democratic constituency get their turn in the spotlight (will it be the first openly gay/lesbian/transvestite-nanny/gang member/welfare mom/Oprah/etc.? — inquiring minds want to know!). Since difficult questions like , “Why do we care, since Obama obviously picked a moron in 2008?”, and, “What does picking the world’s dumbest man in 2008 say about Obama?” cannot be allowed, they must spin it that poor old Joe has just lost his once-brilliant mind. At least credit McCain for pointing out that Biden has always been a buffoon.
