Obama would not lose the black vote if he started to randomly shoot black people on TV.

I’ve never seen such blind allegence.

I’ll bet he loses some Latinos.

Of course not. Latino “Catholics,” Black “chrstians,” and wealthy white homosexuals are one big happy family united by thousands of years of oppression by trailer-dwelling rednecks!

I totally agree with the article 100%. Latinos were a big forced behind defeating gay marriage at the ballot box in CA but they will turn around and vote for their pro-gay marriage Democratic politicians because they promise them lots of freebies. I was listening to American Family Radio driving home from work and they had on James Dobson and other pro-traditional marriage advocates and they were talking about how this issue would drive African-Americans and Hispanics away from Obama and I thought there were crazy and naive. They want Big Government first and will vote for a Big Government liberal even if said liberal is for gay marriage.

Hmmmm. I was just talking to a coworker (Republican) today whose parents are Hispanic (Conservative). She said Obama is the first DemocRAT presidential candidate that they didn’t voted for. She went on to say that they are so upset with Barry’s policies that they are going to work against his reelection this time. I think the ‘RATS may be counting chickens that they don’t even have eggs for.

As FReeper "pfflier" pointed out on a different thread:

It’s not that they would vote for a Republican its that they may not vote at all because of this. He has a 98% block that may now “under-produce”.

They are right, he is not losing anyone over this because (excepting the black vote) he has already lost them. Nobody, NO, BODY, gives two hoots and a holler about gay marriage.

Well he might not “lose” them in the sense that they will vote for Romney, but I could see some just not coming out to vote because of it. I don’t see any scenario where he could match his 2008 turnout.

They won’t vote for Romney, but they may well sit it out, particularly if the GOP is smart enough to drive home the message that Obama has done nothing but make their lives harder.

He gained campaign money but lost votes.

It starts as simple brokerage politics. The price for welfare handouts, and looking the other way at the border is marriage for the gays. (In return, rich gays agree to pay the taxes for the handouts, etc. ad nauseum) Then cognitive dissonance takes over. The blacks and Latinos have to deal with the fact that they've sold out their religious beliefs. Now, they either have to consider themselves hypocritical sellouts — or they have to adjust their belief system to match their actions. At that point, they all become earnest believers in gay marriage. (The same process happened with abortion — a few decades ago, a sizable minority of leftists opposed abortion.)

Of course the San Francisco Gate is going to make this claim. San Francisco is the current biblical town of Sodom.

The GOP needs to run some “Obama is pro-gay marriage” ads in the hispanic precincts to pull them to our side before the whole story dies down. Gotta make hay while the sun shines because the polls will soon convince the press to give up on their “Obama is historic and courageous” meme.

Obama is so uniquely unqualified to be president -he wouldn’t be if he didn’t have great political instincts.

He would NOT have made this jump if it didn’t line his political pockets.

The black community is not gay (imho) and this alone jeopardizes zer0 (imho). The brothers and sisters have a problem (in more ways than one) if they support zer0 after this new revelation of support for gays. Expecting many to stay home, and not necessarily regarding this issue but rather the issue of the economy. Many in the black community believe they were betrayed by a slick talker (of course they are correct) and the enthusiasm grows slimmer as the economy tanks and zer0 opens his mouth for gays. It is good for the Nation the zer0 is out of the closet showing where his allegiance lays.

Whistling past the graveyard, IMHO. His voters are already unenthusiastic. By all accounts they did this to raise campaign funds. So what kind of commercials are they going to buy with all theis money?

Seems like a poor trade-off.

In the black community, there are certain men who are on the “d/l” (the down low) meaning they are married or in a seemingly hetero relationship and lead a secret gay life on the side. Those guys will come out in force to vote for Obama.
