Sarah Palin has picked sides in Nebraska's Republican U.S. Senate race. She's backing State Sen. Deb Fischer of Valentine.
The Fischer campaign announced the endorsement in a Wednesday morning press release that quoted a letter from Palin.
“We admire your conservative principles and know that you will not go to Washington to amass great wealth or power,” Palin wrote. “You will go to Washington to serve the people of Nebraska, protect our Constitution and work for common sense solutions to help restore America. We are happy to support you and have asked SarahPAC to send a financial contribution to your campaign.”
Fischer is running in the GOP Senate primary against Attorney General Jon Bruning and State Treasurer Don Stenberg.
Your definition of “troll” doesn’t fit the standard. You are the one who turned this into a personal assault, I just tried to save you the trouble of calling me a Romneybot by pointing out that you would do so, as part of discussing the PALIN ENDORSEMENT, which is the topic of the thread, hardly trolling.
I feel I need to do so, because pretty much EVERY time I respond to a post you make, you respond by calling me a Romneybot. Then you usually call me other names as well. I was hoping I could just “stipulate” that you would call me names, so we could discuss the actual issue.
It’s nothing personal, you have every right to name-call (well, there is the “no personal attack” rule, but I certainly don’t care about your insults, and that rule rarely enforced, so you get the point). I certainly have no desire to get into a “personal fight” with you, but it has been my observation that you like to fight me whenever I post responses to you.
So, if you have decided to stop trying to pick fights with me everytime I make an observation about something you say, I apologize for assuming you would continue in your long-standing practice, and look forward to being able to hold productive, issue-based discussions with you in the future.
I still have no idea why you classify anything I said here, or anywhere else, as “Palin-bashing”. I didn’t accuse her of anything, I certainly didn’t speak negatively about anything she has done. And in a thread about a Palin endorsement, it certainly is not “wide-ranging” or “off-topic” to discuss the Palin endorsement and the reasons for it.
The only thing “off-topic” in my subsequent posts are my responses to off-topic things YOU said. If you are so upset about off-topic discussions, you probably shouldn’t start them — because I will readily admit that I like to respond to things that people post.
Yes, we have history, but I can’t recall exactly what, and it was not bad. I’m just being a crank.
I think you turned me on to a really good LED pocket flashlight or something else non-political.
(I was a fan of Sarah Palin about a month before she broke out on FR, as my wife can attest. I liked her before liking her was cool.)

I can tell you that I am a very lazy writer, and that on the internet I seem a lot drier than I really am, the warmer, friendlier tones and gestures that one can see expressed non verbally in person, are just too taxing to attempt to express in print for a person who is as lazy as me with words, and the whole internet typing thing.
It does seem he’s having trouble getting traction. And I certainly haven’t heard anything bad about her. I was just surprised because everybody conservative was on the Stenberg bandwagon so I hadn’t really paid any attention to her.
What can I say, Jim isn’t omniscient.
As I said, if as you claim I regularly bashed Palin, you should be able to find a post where I bashed Palin.
I certainly didn’t do it in this thread. And while I have probably attacked everybody about something at sometime, as a Palin supporter it bothers me that you keep claiming without evidence that I oppose her. It is one thing to be attacked for someone I supported in the last election, but it’s much worse to be attacked for “opposing” a candidate I supported consistantly for the past 3 years.
Sometimes, it’s just easier to use labels like “PDS” than to have a conversation.
I was hoping that your previous response indicated that you were weary of always attacking me, and were ready to move on.
