Boy on a Bike Becomes Moscow’s Tiananmen Image
ABC News ^ | 5/8/12

Posted on 05/08/2012 1:37:30 PM PDT by Kartographer

As a bloody skirmish between police and opposition activists in central Moscow was drawing to a close on Sunday a small boy on a tiny bicycle pedaled through the crowd and approached a line of hulking riot police.

He sat there for a moment, balancing on his training wheels, staring at the menacing troops who were decked out in blue camouflage uniforms and full riot gear, nightsticks at the ready.

A group of protesters who had been heckling the cops began jeering, “Here’s the guy that will storm the Kremlin. Be ready boys! Here he comes!”

“Putin’s gang are commies too.”

Wrong.

I’m sorry but I’m engaged with the Jewish business community in Russia, and Jewish small businesses are loving Russia and Putin right now.

That’s a fact.

You may have some other perphiral issues, and I’m willing to discuss them when you’re ready.

Israel is very tight with Russia. Netanyahu is about to sign a contract with Putin to develop Israel’s Tamar gas fields in the Mediterranean Sea.

YOU are backing Putin and accuse me of being left wing?!?!?
You like the way business is going for you, and we’re supposed to believe Putin has given up his KGB stripes?
You can NOT examine the way Putin treated the former Soviet satellite countries, during his prior tenure and that of the interim puppet President, and conclude anything other than his desire to re-unite the Soviet empire.
I suppose his threats against the U.S. deployment of anti-missile systems don’t bother you, or constitute KGB tactics either?

Exactly, hardly like the picture in China. In that case and it was live on tv, I believe, and you did not know if the tank would run him down or not. In this case you have an after the fact poor quality picture where you can not see the child’s face and you can barely make out the police. That is what I meant by not much of a picture.

I agree with you regarding the photo quality, but I was primarily referencing the title comparing this to the Tienanmen Square confrontation. Not even close. Maybe the lady in Tehran who confronted the whacky Iranian leader (Amudujub, or something...) might have been a reasonable comparison - but not the kid on the bike.

Just because some non-commies support Putin doesn’t mean that Putin and his colleagues are not commies. That’s like saying “I know a lot of good people who voted for Obama, so he must be alright”. Does not follow.

“Prove that Putin is engaged in KGB tactics and against whom.”

Huh? How many political opponents does the man have to assassinate to qualify as “KGB tactics” in your mind? Sheesh.

I’d appreciate a list of all the Putin assassinations or a link verifying your claim.

“I’d appreciate a list of all the Putin assassinations or a link verifying your claim.”

Well, here are a few.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassination_of_Anna_Politkovskaya

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poisoning_of_Alexander_Litvinenko

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergei_Yushenkov#Assassination (Just one of several Liberal Russia party members murdered in the same year)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viktor_Yushchenko#Dioxin_poisoning

That’s not exhaustive; there have been at least 10 members of parliament murdered since 1994.

Every one of the Russian protest “leaders” I’ve looked at can be traced back to Soros.

Name one.

The protest movement is made up of people who have been banned from Russian politics. The Russian Communists have not been banned. They are the only opposition Putin allows to run against him. The real opposition is mostly made of patriotic Russian nationalists such as Alexei Navalny who do not want to keep wasting Russia's money subsidizing a giant non-Russian empire.

Second inter-Palestinian meeting to be held in Moscow in May - April 24, 2012 - Russia is working actively towards inter-Palestinian reconciliation which is critical for a sustainable settlement in the Middle East, Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin said, Itar-Tass reported. He said a second inter-Palestinian meeting is to be held in Moscow in the second half of May. During the consultations Russian diplomats plan to "continue efforts to encourage Hamas and Fatah to achieve national reconciliation on the basis of the Doha agreements", he said at the U.N. Security Council on Monday, April 23. The first inter-Palestinian meeting took place in the Moscow region on May 21-22, 2011. The Hamas and Fatah leaders adopted a joint declaration in which they confirmed Russia's considerable role in the strengthening of Palestine's positions in the international arena and the role of Egypt in inter-Palestinian reconciliation in Cairo on May 4, 2011. In March of this year a Palestinian delegation visited Moscow to attend a meeting of the Russian-Palestinian Committee on the Middle East, which convenes twice a year to discuss all areas of our cooperation and draft bilateral cooperation projects.

If the press had any courage, they’d label this:

“The Soviet’s Tienanmen Square”......

Putin is our enemy, therefore Obama and the MSM like him and will make no mention of any of this.

So you want me to search google for a link between Navalny and Soros because you are to lazy to do so?

There is no such link. Navalny has nothing to do with Soros. The Kremlin already tried to smear Navalny with a fake photo of him with Brezovsky but they were exposed, so I don't believe anything said about him by the mindless sycophantic stooges of the Russian government of thieves and liars. Alexei Navalny is a patriot and a brave man fighting for liberty against tyranny. Putin is a Godless monster who said that the Soviet Union should never have been allowed to collapse. KGB Putin is a truly evil monster and he will get what he deserves. He will join his beloved KGB in the ash-heap of history and he will be remembered as an evil tyrant who stole his people's freedom.

So all zero of the protest leaders you've looked at can be traced to Soros?

I'd appreciate a list a Putin protesters you've looked at and links proving their involvement with Soros so I can verify your claim.

I look forward to you getting back to me with that information never.

“So you want me to search google for a link between Navalny and Soros because you are to lazy to do so?”

I’m not your paid researcher. And the sources for these anti-Putin articles are laughable, including ABC news and the commies at Reuters and the Guardian.

Next I’ll be seeing press releases from Fenton Communications and analysis from Al Jeezara.

Simply ask which former Soviet satellite country doesn’t currently have a significant Russian military presence.

SD is simply upset that folks don’t trust the former head of the Soviet KGB, because SD has experienced good business relations with him.

Putin is simply learning from the Chinese model that controlled capitalism creates a more productive economy from which the respective mafia’s can rip off a nice profit.

If Soros is fomenting turmoil in Russia, it is simply an extension of the instability created throughout the mid-East, with the intent of making petroleum products a less reliable export, and screwing up the economy of the West in the process.

Soros may the only person that hates America as much as Obama.
