Obama is ahead of Romney, the presumed Republican nominee, 51 percent to 44 percent among registered voters. And Romney does no better against Obama than he did a year ago, despite his emergence as the GOP standard-bearer.

If your conscience demands voting for a liar and a fraud who pretty much opposes everything Conservatives stand for all because he has a worthless “R” after his name, that’s on you. Don’t expect the rest of us to jump off the cliff with you. McCain was the last straw. Willard is Zero in Whiteface.
C’mon, now. The big gubmint DemoRINO cabal doesn’t have to follow the same rules as the rest of us do.
You know who opposes everything I stand for? Obama.
There's still time to come over from the Dark Side and drop the Leftwingtards.
Everybody around here knows about these things. We thought you just didn't care.
No way in hell. I live in a swing state where a vote for Virgil Goode is a vote for Barack Obama and I'll stand with the majority of conservatives and Freepers who want Obama out of the White House. You can keep your Virgil Goode.
This poll is BS. This is a state that overwhelmingly turned back GOP.
We recovered 2 years later.
You forgot the other fella, too.
You people should think of these things before you put a loser up at the top of the ballot.
Romney abused the good nature of the people in this state ~ we may well have much more than a 5% switch to Virgil Goode.
No, I did not. Romney opposes many things I stand for. Obama opposes everything I stand for. This is where I'll act like an adult.
From a poll claiming "registered voters". What a lying POS this poll is. So 1 out of every 3 people in this poll are not registered? You have got to be sh**ing me.
Romney is probably up by 5 points in VA, in my best guess.
My basic rule ? I don’t vote for liars. If that’s not your basic rule, too, again, that’s on you. I find it singularly remarkable, and just as sad, that Zero has caused so many so-called Conservatives to toss out all their principles, ethics, morals, conscience, you name it, for the express purpose of exclusively getting rid of Zero in order to replace him with someone with just as low a moral standing. That’s a bridge too far to cross for me and millions of others. Thank the Good Lord we have the sense to say enough is enough.
The WaPo is just talking to themselves. Romney will win Virginia. Is that ideal? Of course not, but it’s way better than the current alternative. Mitt was not my choice, but I will vote for him.
And Virgil? He was my Congressman, I know him personally, and I have the highest regard for him. He has zero chance of making any electoral impact in this election, and will likely do about as well as the “Greens”, but I’m glad he’s running. With a little luck, he’ll get some of the issues out there and get a few people thinking about things... all part of the process.
If I thought he’d get more than 0.25% of the vote I’d be concerned, but he won’t.
Romney will be the next President. This will no way be as close as the MSM would like people to believe.
Again, it’s better than the alternative
He won't get more than a fraction of a percent of the national vote. What could happen though is in Virginia where Goode was a former congressman and has name recognition, he could conceivably pull 5%. A 5 point handicap to Romney in Virgina (which went blue last election) would be devastating. Republicans lose Virginia and they've lost the election.
This is the horrific condition we are in right now: Romney losing will simultaneously be the best and worst thing that could happen to us.
Oh, they did register - some time, some place. But they're not registered to vote where they are now. That's how the WP cutely plays this game.
Rush is right....this could very well be a landslide for Romney...
now that he can go after bamey instead of going after other pubs, lets see what happens...
can't wait for the debates...Romney will crush bamey.....
I've been around campaigns for a couple of decades. And the idea that you have a winner when the candidate's own supporters have to preface every sentence with, "I know he stinks to high heaven, I hate him too, but..." doesn't even pass the laugh test.
Again, its better than the alternative
Highly debatable. But, in any case, you could only think that if you think there are only two alternatives.
