LDS theology is not Christian. It says that God the Father had a father who had a father and so on. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are separate entities by that theology. The LDS God the Father was once a man, conversely, LDS men can become gods.
For that reason, the Catholic Church does not recognize LDS baptisms though it does recognize Protestant baptisms in "the" name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, i.e. the Trinity.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. - John 1:1-3
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. - Rev 1:7-8
Hey!
There is a lot of ‘doctrine’ in your answer! ;^)
Yet, betty boop has made statements that Mormons are Christians and attacked us - basicially accusing us of attacking Chrisitans (Mormons), while at the same time saying she didn’t fight Christians.
She also dodged a simple question about her views. It is a very reasonable conclusion that Betty is in error and considers Mormons to be Christians. Perhaps you can get through to her.
