WINDSOR, Ontario Last month, Bob Dechert, a senior aide to Canada's foreign minister, was dispatched to Detroit with an important diplomatic mission: to stop a highly-annoying noise.
The so-called Windsor hum, described as a low-frequency rumbling sound, has rattled windows and knocked objects off shelves in this border community just across the Detroit River from the Motor City. Locals have said it sounds like a large diesel truck idling, a loud boom box or the bass vocals of Barry White.
Residents in Windsor, Ontario, have blamed the hum for causing illness, whipping dogs into frenzies, keeping cats housebound and sending goldfish to the surface in backyard ponds. Many have resorted to switching on their furnace fan all season to drown out the noise.
Even weirder, Americans cannot seem to hear it. Canadians find that suspicious -- especially since their research suggests the hum is coming from the Yankees' side -- and accuse US officials of staying silent over the noise.

It's just the Detroit yoofs cranking up their ghetto blasters.

it sounds like a large diesel truck idling [...] or the bass vocals of Barry White. Old Barry is thrilled about THAT comparison, I bet.

hey, the only words we know are “Oh, Canada...” everything after that is mumbling and humming. :)
To: rawhide
I thought the hum was the sound of Canadian footsteps fleeing America back to Canada.

Nothing to worry about, Canada! It’s just Nancy Pelosi doing to you what she’s been doing to America for years.

Strange sounds
Strange sounds of UNKNOWN origin penetrating through the earth. The phenonema has been on going for months now in various parts of the world and has been given no real explination to how or why. One possible theory to the phenonema is the sounds are being caused drilling to make way for large underground bomb shelters as some Governments are taking the threat of 2012 seriously. These noises are being reported on a much larger scale compared to what this video shows.

It’s that special underground Naval communications tool for use in contacting the fleet worldwide, especially nuke subs far underwater. It is sonar-based, through the earth, from a grid in Michigan. But the Canadians aren’t supposed to be able to hear it, either!

So the plan is working. How long until they surrender? If it was Quebec they would be waving white flags already. Not sure how long Ontarians can hold out. Alberta would likely never give in.

Even weirder, Americans cannot seem to hear it. This should not be a shock. Hardly any Americans even LIVE on the West Bank of the St. Claire. I read of a house that was for sale for $500 there. No buyers.
