The Obama administration has a history of hiring pro-abortion activists for top staff positions. Now, a pro-abortion former member of Obamas faith advisory committee has taken a new position heading up a pro-abortion religious group.
The Reverend Harry Knox, a former official with the pro-abortion Human Rights Campaign who has served on the Presidents faith-based commission, will begin as the head of the Religious Coalition on Reproductive Choice (RCRC) in July. The Episcopal Church pastor received rave reviews from the pro-abortion religious group.
The Board of Directors of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (RCRC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Reverend Harry Knox as President and Chief Executive Officer of RCRC, the nations coalition of organizations from 15 denominations and faith traditions committed to reproductive rights and justice, the group said.
Reverend Dr. Alethea Smith-Withers, Chair of the RCRC Board of Directors, said, In the current climate of relentless attacks on abortion and birth control in the name of religion, our country needs the faith-inspired courage Reverend Knox brings to safeguarding and advancing womens health and the dignity of all people.
Knox says of his appointment to the pro-abortion position: There is no more vital work to be done in this historic moment than stopping the rollback of womens access to health care and self-determination. Women need more health care resources and options, not less.
Although he never mentioned abortion in his statement, Knox said he would work to target youth with the pro-abortion message.
Young people are a priority for RCRC and we look forward to an expansion of engagement with youth and young adult leaders through our Spiritual Youth for Reproductive Freedom program. Church, temple or synagogue should be the first place people of faith and their families turn when facing difficult decisions about reproductive health, he said.RCRC will continue to lead in providing faith leaders the resources they need to offer responsible guidance and support. I ask for the prayers of all those who care about reproductive justice as I begin this new role.
Institute on Religion & Democracy presdient Mark Tooley, who is pro-life, responded to the news.
Few liberal lobbies in Washington are as shameful as RCRC, which claims God opposes any restrictions on abortion, he said. Seemingly withering over the past year, RCRC has found a new chief with ties to wealthy liberal donors. RCRC will need them, as almost all of its member liberal religious groups are spiraling in membership.
Knox came under fire for attacking the Pope, who recently said that condoms are not the answer to the AIDS/HIV crisis in Africa. He called Pope Benedict XVI a liar and said he should start telling the truth about condom use and claimed the Catholic leader was endangering peoples lives and hurting people in the name of Jesus.
Murdering babies IS NOT HEALTH CARE.

I thought the Human Rights Campaign was one of the most prominent homosexual-activist groups. Of course they would ally themselves with the pro-abortion activists.
At some point God will raise up and smite this evil generation.
I often wonder if this were 1776 what would be happening right now to men such as these at the hands of our founding fathers?
These people do not believe in or fear our God, they must think is has gone and will not return.
I say, even so come Lord Jesus.
It’s really starting to torque me off that all of these proabort activists didn’t have mothers that felt the same way.
I never knew there was a Religious Coalition on murdering the unborn. What kind of religion is that? Voodoo?
“At some point God will raise up and smite this evil generation.”
I think we are witnessing it right now. The plagues of Egypt did not take place in an instant.
“I say, even so come Lord Jesus.”
Maranatha!
It’s not a religion, it’s a cult.
The cult of liberalism.
Knox is a pro-gay rights activist among other things. Pure evil.
Lord, please come soon. We need You.
Disgusting.
Cult of Death. “What makes you think they want to live?” — Ayn Rand.
Did a little searching and see that he was labeled “an anti-Catholic bigot” years ago by people like Brent Bozell and Speaker John Boehner.
What worked to attract humans to the worship of a particular false god in the past still works and the demonic power behind that false god still wants to have humans blaspheme God in the same way. For generations, "the right people", who had money and power always knew who would quietly perform an abortion. The only difference now is that it's done openly and bragged about by those who want to show their loyalty to those with power and to prove they'll do whatever the powerful ask of them in return for acceptance.
It's become a right of passage to prove loyalty to power in this life for the Antichrist crowd. Someone has to have already elevated themselves to the position of supreme authority and accepted that they can set their own standards of right and wrong before they ever get to the point of having an abortion. Some percentage of those who have an abortion may be cajoled and pressured into it, but the majority of folks who have had an abortion were sure that they were only responsible to their own Self rather than to God long before they ever got to the point of an abortion.
The demonic power behind Moloch hasn't gone away, it just employs a different marketing techniques to convince people to sacrifice their children in exchange for power and, "freedom". The slaughter of infants makes the parents murders the creation of murders who defy God is what Moloch stands for. When a nation ceases to be a Christian nation the restraints on powers like Moloch are lessened as punishment for turning away from Christ. Ever since the leftists from the beat" generation become the majority among college professors, the whole academic machinery of the country has focused on turning everyone possible away from Christ toward hedonism and a denial that there is a God other than the Self. Even a great many churches that claim they're Christian churches now preach a message focused on this physical life and self-improvement while teaching that the spirit is primarily a tool to improve the material circumstances of this life rather than something to be nurtured by service to Christ in preperation for life everlasting with Christ.
Wherever the the Self is enshrined Christ is dethroned and no longer considered to be God Almighty. Whether it's an open worship of Self marketed by the mass media or the subtle and more common deification of Self as the final authority in all matters of faith and morals, it amounts to the same thing, the enthronement of and worship of Self rather than the taking up your cross and following Christ.
