WASHINGTON — A top White House aide on Sunday said President Barack Obama wants to strike an “appropriate balance” between advancing human rights and maintaining U.S. relations with China, the first public comments by the administration on its potential involvement in harboring a Chinese activist on the eve of diplomatic talks between the two world powers.
John Brennan, Obama’s counterterrorism adviser, declined to provide details on the incident or say whether the activist, Chen Guangcheng, might be hiding in the U.S. embassy in Beijing as reported.

Translation: Obama will order our Beijing Embassy to turn over
Chen Guangcheng to the Chinese government. China will then execute Chen Guangcheng and send a bill to his family for the bullets.
This should be an easy one for the Obama administration. The Chinese will declare the man a common criminal and, since asylum isn’t for common criminals, we will hand him over. Shame about all his accomplices who have already been jailed. Sacrifice wasted, how sweet.
As I am suspicious of any crisis in this obambam-palooza election cycle, I think we should be watchful of this one also. Certainly all US rivals/adversaries would want obambam to rule 4 more years. They’ll do whatever they can to empower him and if an international crisis which The Great Won deftly quells and takes credit for is what’s needed, they’ll sure to abide. We should watch this carefully.
If BO does that, he will be challenging God Himself. This Chen is a good God fearing man. BO thinks he is god. He will find out he is not if he tries to execute Chen.
My bet is that Mr. Guangcheng has already been handed over to the Butchers of Beijing in exchange for a mutually agreeable sum to be laundered into Mr. Ubama’s campaign coffers.
Give him up after the Chinese tell us who killed our volleyball coach during the Olympics.
Obama will find the “right way sideways.”
Plenty of concessions to China for what is essentially a case of kidnapping.
