Obama Warns Women That Romney, GOP Will ‘Close Doors of Opportunity’
President Obama warned women voters today that Republicans in Congress and presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney want to “close doors of opportunity we thought we’d kicked open a long time ago.”
“This is a party that prides itself in being rabidly anti-regulation. These are folks who claim to believe in freedom from government interference and meddling. But it doesn’t seem to bother them when it comes to women’s health,” Obama told a crowd of 600 Democratic women at a campaign fundraiser in Washington.
The president cited efforts by several Republican state governors and legislatures to enact laws that would restrict access to contraception, redefine personhood or require ultrasounds before obtaining an abortion.
“If you don’t like it, the governor of Pennsylvania said you can ‘close your eyes,’” Obama said of Republican Gov. Tom Corbett, who has backed a mandatory ultrasound bill.
“It’s appalling. It’s offensive. It’s out of touch. And when it comes to what’s going on out there, you’re not going to close your eyes,” Obama said. “Women across America aren’t closing their eyes. As long as I’m president, I won’t either.”

Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) smacks down democrats over their phony “War on Women” hysteria.
Democrats, including Ma Pelosi, tried desperately today to tie student loans to women’s health issues.
Good for John Boehner for pointing out the insanity.
Today the House “ignored a veto threat” and passed a measure to stop new student loan rates from doubling this summer. The bill pays for extending current rates by cutting a slush fund the president himself proposed cutting from ObamaCare — a law that’s making it harder for small businesses to hire new workers, including recent college graduates.

Had to endure a professor driveling on the other day about how “women’s health” is being threatened!! Arrrggghh! I wanted to stand up and tell off the whole class.
Obviously something ELSE is just far more important to them than the child with the brains being ripped apart.
Money? Power? What drives this? Seriosly?
Why do women feel they MUST give up their children and hopes of a family to achieve? Achieve WHAT?

Maybe compared to Obama, Mitt Romney really is the new Goldwater, .... ‘severely conservative’.
But these guy are pulling the desperation cards awfully fast.
I think the “Doctor” should be required to inform the Patient that an Ultrasound is available to them if they so choose, with the Patient making the final decision on the matter. Just the requirement of asking the Patient if they care to see what the “tissue mass” looks like will change a lot of minds without giving the Liberals the weapon that Conservatives are “forcing” a Woman to comply to an invasive procedure, which of course they equate with forcible Rape.
Making it consensual rather than mandatory would take the air out of the Rat argument, while using the term “Informed Choice” to show that Liberals really have no compassion for what the Woman is going through.
The simple reply to Liberals would simply be, Don't you believe in Informed Choice? They will choke on the word “informed”, I assure you.
Liberals prefer an ignorant populace because they can sell their simplistic ideas so much easier. “Freedom Of Choice”, “Paying Their Fair Share”, “Tax Cuts For The Rich”, “Do It For The Children” and other sayings appeal to those who fail to utilize the Brain God in His infinite wisdom gave them.
And ABC just reports it as a legitimate story.
Why does anyone at all in this country even consider taking Obama seriously?
