although I have no idea who the RC Cola is thats favored by the official position of this site. RC Cola was a soft drink that was very popular in the early 70's and much better than either Coke or Pepsi, imo.
I believe it stood for Royal Crown??

I’ve consumed my share of RC Cola (and I agree...I like it better than Coke or Pepsi). I was referring to the poster’s analogy that there is a 3rd option (besides Coke and Pepsi) that’s “officially favored”. I have no idea who the equivalent of that would be with respect to who is the “officially favored” option by FR.

I am deeply saddened that RC is hard to find in Minnesota.
I think -- without much evidence other than the occasional business trip -- that it is primarily a "Southern" brand these days.
It had much more 'bite' than Coke and Pepsi.
And yes, "RC" does stand for "Royal Crown"...
Cheers!
