Many of us have said that we won’t vote for Romney and we meant it. Wait for the low November turnout....
We now have the most ignorant electorate in the history of American elections. I believe we have the most corrupt government and media our country has ever seen.
Americans will get the country it apparently wants and a country it so richly deserves.

In todays NY vote, Mitt Romney lost HALF of those who voted for him back in 2008!
All of the inevitability talk has depressed the turnout. 82,000 votes with 81% reporting is shockingly low. The only encouraging thing is the thought that Newt really wouldn't need a large number of votes in Texas to win the primary there. Not enough people understand that Romney's unpopularity with conservatives makes the convention more important. Elections are not the same every year. The immediate goal for conservatives this election is to prevent Romney from winning on the 1st ballot in Tampa. Republican conventions haven't always been boring. Tampa could be a blast if Romney doesn't win on the 1st ballot.
Lincoln - 3rd ballot
Rutherford Hayes (7th ballot)
James Garfield (36th ballot!)
Warning Harding (10th ballot)
Dwight D. Eisenhower (2nd ballot)
brokered Republican conventions led to wins in the past.

Either there was heavy voting in other places, or somebody was busy stuffing ballot boxes at the end of the day...
To: butterdezillion
Not necessarily. If over half of those 46 votes were for Romney, he won.

There was no publicity whatever for the NY Primary. Nothing in the mail from the Party or Board of Elections, and no road or lawn signs. I found out about it yesterday (Monday) on the Internet.
Did the Party country-clubbers not want people to turn out because folks other than Romney might pick up votes? Or was it just that none of the campaigns wanted to spend the money on a foregone conclusion? Seems to me it would have made sense for Newt to promote turnout to hold off Romney some, since NYS is not winner-take-all.

OK, Romney will doom us to another four years of Obama. That is practically certain. Prepare for an Obama landslide.
It wasn’t the GOPe that chose Romney, it was the primary voters to voted for the numscull.
But, maybe we can push for some conservative state and local candidates? Maybe with a Republican Senate Obama will be held back a bit?

Romney possibly may take down the GOp-e. He is the worse of the group. He will not beat Obama due to low turnout. To see him on TV, he's leaves no inspiration. At least, they could have given us a truthful (classy) person and one who has a connection to the people. The people voting for him will get a true awakening in the months to come. The media did not want to run against him thinking he could not be beat. Look at 2008 nos. to today's/ this is suicide. Fun to see the Gop-e ruined (to be changed) but not fun to see the nation suffer with a weak person A or B. These people in power have taken an American experience to places it should have never seen (and the republicans are to blame as well) I don't trust them to improve with all of the corruption in our government. Like I said months ago, I guess I will hide out and wait for the cavalry and orders where to be. One day, people will get frustrated and become angry vs tired and confused. We keep trying moderates, they don't motivate (inspire) patriotic Americans. The media cannot make Romney into a likable person now for 6 years.

Now that everyone is aware what the "Romney effect' is it seems to me quite logical for Romney to drop out of the race and quit screwing everybody up.
That's the only solution.

Sarah Palin could draw out 10,000 people in a small town, Mittens couldnt pay them to come out. Hell, crazy old Ron Paul draws more supporters to his events than mittens does. Romney does not inspire confidence because he's a waffling, flip flopping liberal.

You folks are delusional to think that the Republicans turnout would be low in November. Fortunately for the country the Any But Obama voters are 95% of the Republicans and Conservatives and would greatly and they go in massive numbers to vote Obama out.
The reason turnout is low in the latest primaries and will continue to be so is that Romney has been practically the nominee since Santorum dropped out and people are not going to waste their time in a race that is over in favor of Romney.

Yawn. You were singing the same lame tune with McStooge, JV. Romney is even weaker and more liberal than he is. But you keep on with that delusion of yours that the bunch of GOP losers will prevail.

Guess he figures that he can buy the election.
Could we get a worse candidate? He might as well have a giant L tattooed on his forehead.
