They did lose their son it’s always tough to see wrong in the ones you love and have loved let’s not be too harsh on them. It’s a reasonably sad situation with no real bad guys or heroes in this one in my opinion. Both Zimmerman and Martin acted stupidly. Zimmerman should have let the police handle it and not confronted Martin and Martin once he got the upper hand should not have bashed Zimmermans head in the ground since that alone could cause death and opens the door to use lethal force to defend oneself.

I think that one of the things that the prosecution must prove is that Zimmerman “confronted” Martin, rather than the other way around.

I regularly ask people that I don't recognize in the neighborhood who they are and what they are doing. I've never had my head beaten on the concrete for it.
