ORLANDO -- Trayvon Martin's parents have a `heavy heart' now that neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman has been released from a Florida jail on bail as he awaits his second-degree murder trial.
Attorney Benjamin Crump represents Martin's parents. Crump said Monday that they would rather have seen Zimmerman stay in jail until he is tried for killing their 17-year-old son during a Feb. 26 confrontation at a gated community.

I made a previous response. It was 7:09. I dont know where 3:00 am came from..
IT WAS NOT 3 A.M. Where did you get this info?
I have not been following the case closely because I was not there and do not live there. Exception: the race element.
This is interesting. Roughly seven pm.

The copyright on Trayvon’s name isn’t yet bringing in the hoped for wealth?
They are LIBERAL and they are people 'of color'. Any questions?
That’s a good question. I picked it up somewhere.
Thanks for the clarification.

Thanks for the clarification.
Would you please remove my post #17? I really, really have the facts of this case wrong. It is odd, though, as I would have picked up that info from scanning through the various articles I’ve seen on it. I haven’t paid close attention to the facts of the case except for the incitement to violence/race element.
Thank you.
Apologies to the forum.
I don't think that who confronted whom has been established.
With Al and Jesse fanning the flames, all these folks want is emotional satisfaction.
Justice is not even part of the equation.
It is quite similar to the way Muslim countries react to painful events. All emotion and absolutely NO logic or empirical reasoning. I almost expect signs saying "Death to America"..."Death to Israel."
I say, let's start the thing.
Some besides me might think their body language shows more than their talk!
TM’s Father is more in tune with what seems to me, is the truth.
As they say, his actions speak volumes!
Well if they had kept a little better supervision of Trayvon and prevented him from smoking the weed, taking burglary 101 and posting disgusting pornographic tweets on the internet maybe he would still be among us.
No ... there is also the race-riot card.
Saint Trayvon's immediate family may not be playing the riot card, but plenty of their sympathizers are.
Exactly! The investigator at the bail hearing, Dale Gilbreath, even admitted that they have absolutely no evidence on who started the fight.
The police report of officer Ricard Ayala (there was more than one report) was completed and filed at 3:29 a.m.
We've been through this with several other posters who claimed the the police report confirmed that the shooting was after 3:00 a.m., instead of graciously stating that they heard it somewhere as combat_boots did.
However, the report also states time dispatched and time arrived. The police report indicates that the police arrived at the scene and found Martin dead at 19:17 (7:17 p.m.). The 911 tapes of other callers pinpoint the exact moment the shot was heard; I don't remember at the moment. Something like 7:14 p.m.
As far as I know, cywoody, the original and only source of 'a video exists' was a column in The American Thinker, which stated:
"But a video does exist. The public relations director of 7-Eleven told me that, according to the company's manager of security, a store camera captured an African-American male (she wouldn't commit to "young") purchasing a bag of Skittles and a can of tea (she wouldn't say that it was "Arizona" tea). The hard disk with the video was removed after the story broke, and it has been subpoenaed by investigators for the state and/or county. The company has not made it available to the media. The public relations director could not specify the exact time of the purchase but said it was between 6:00 and 6:30.""The 7-Eleven, according to maps.google, is 0.8 miles from the entrance to The Retreat at Twin Lakes, a 16-minute walk."
Thank you for the pings.
I am officially ‘gracious.’ It’s in print, so it must be true. ;>
Yeah. You and I agree in our skepticism of the media. What I've tried to do with respect to the Zimmerman/Martin matter has been to try and track down the origin of each 'detail' to the best of my ability. It helps me decide how much faith to put in a detail. When appropriate, I've shared that here. I think knowing the original source of a detail is helpful.
