Hi Kathy, Thank you for this wonderful post. My Grandfather (mom’s dad) served in WW I with Eddie Rickenbacker. My mother remembers meeting him when she was little. My grandfather graduated from Cornell Military Institute (now Cornell University) in 1916 and received pilot training there. My mother passed away last July. I found a picture of my Grandfather among her things. From what my uncle (her younger brother) told me, it is a 50th Aniversary picture of WW I aviators. I also found my grandfathers original Army Aviator’s Certificate dated May 10, 1916. I am currently trying to identify the guys in the picture.
