It was a weird instrument as I recall. We always were playing something the rest of the band wasn’t playin. Sheet music different than everybody else....lol. Like the stepchildren of the band...lol.
I know huh. However, my band director was a horn player and had a certain amount of sympathy. :)
We always had the “up-beats”! LOL!
