PEORIA, Illinois – After a fiery homily last weekend urging the faithful to oppose [Alleged] President Obama’s “radical pro-abortion and extreme secularist agenda” at the ballot box in November, Bishop Daniel Jenky of Peoria has been hit with an IRS complaint from a national secularist lobby group.
At a gathering of Catholic men on Saturday, the Illinois prelate had slammed Obama’s mandate forcing religious employers to cover contraceptives, sterilizations, and abortion-inducing drugs. The unprecedented attack on religious freedom, he said, signaled that the president “seems intent on following a similar path” as past dictators such as Hitler, Stalin, and Otto von Bismarck.
“This fall, every practicing Catholic must vote, and must vote their Catholic consciences, or by the following fall our Catholic schools, our Catholic hospitals, our Catholic Newman Centers, all our public ministries - only excepting our church buildings – could easily be shut down,” he said.
On Thursday, the Washington-based Americans United for Separation of Church and State claimed the homily violated federal law by taking sides in a political campaign.

I listened to an excerpt of his homily and the part I heard was spot on. BTW he didn't compare Zero to Hitler , he essentially said we were following the same path.
Pay attention Christians and all people of faith! If this isn’t you, it soon will be. Organize voter registration drives in your churches and encourage people to vote like their freedom depended on it.

It was a Saturday "gathering" rather than speaking from the pulpit during Sunday services. That makes it a non-church meeting, at which he has the same right to say things about Obama that I do.
Bishop Jenky must be doing something right. He managed to piss of the ADL and Atheist Barry Lynn. I he can get the ACLU panties in a wad he hits the trifecta!
And if churches would abandon their phony, corrupting IRS designations, the pulpit could tell the whole unvarnished truth too.

‘bout time someone in the Chruch spoke up...black churches have been using the pulpit for generations...demanding their membership support Democrats...I guess that’s OK...but when a white Catholic speaks out the IRS is all over it.

This is so refreshing to know that this man will be hounded into a monasterial refuge knowing full well that he could have been executed for slurs against Dear Leader and his benevolent policies.

Its good they complain.1) It gives his sermon far more publicity and effect than it could have ever had in Illinois. 2) Decent people have the opportunity to wonder why if the bought off preachers like Sharpton and Jackson are free to speak, then why is the government trying to stifle others. Looking at your tagline I couldn’t help but wonder why you don’t want to be brought together with those that support Obama and his way of unification. After all, he and his followers love us and want this nation to be unified. The only way that’s going to happen is if you keep your rhetoric to yourself and go along with those zealots who think we have a White Hut occupant who is indeed divine.

Let's not forget that the Barrett Report is still, to this day, under seal. A seal that can be broken by any member of Congress yet neither party will allow it to be opened.
