SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. —
WFTV just learned Friday morning about a picture of gunman George Zimmerman, taken just three minutes after the shooting that left 17-year-old Trayvon Martin dead.
The picture reportedly shows cuts on the back of Zimmerman's head, with blood trickling down.
Zimmerman, who shot and killed 17-year-old Martin on February 26 in a gated Sanford community, claimed he killed Martin in self-defense. Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder for the shooting death of Martin.
The picture would seem to back up Zimmerman's claim that Martin slammed his head against the sidewalk.
That picture could be part of the evidence shown to the judge in court Friday morning during Zimmerman's bond hearing.
ABC News is breaking more on this story on Good Morning America at 7 a.m. on Channel 9. We'll have more on Central Florida's TV 27 at 7 a.m.
Meanwhile, Trayvon Martin's parents will come face to face for the first time with Zimmerman on Friday.
Zimmerman is due in a Seminole County courtroom for a bond hearing at 9 a.m.
After a week and a half behind bars, Zimmerman may be walking out of jail to await trial on a second-degree murder charge.
The parents of 17-year-old Martin are expected in the courtroom during the bond hearing.
Zimmerman's attorney Mark O'Mara will likely argue to Judge Kenneth Lester that Zimmerman is not a flight risk, pointing to fact that Zimmerman turned himself in immediately when charges were filed.
Judge Lester must decide if Zimmerman will be offered bond.

This doesn’t change anything for the proecution. They knew about this from the beginning. It may remove some doubt in the court of public opinion.
My guess, is that they've had this photo for some time now and just now releasing it.
And yet Tawana Brawley's best friend will continue to chant "justice for Trayvon" and both the State of Florida *and* the US Department Of Just Us will insist on prosecution.Only a jury with the collective IQ of an OJ jury will convict but finding such a jury won't be hard either for the State or for Attorney Corporal Holder.
Zimmermans hearing is just one hour away. Per WFTV it is likely Zimmerman will get out on bond today.
The Dallas Fox affiliate covered it this morning. Well, they covered the part about the shooter being given a mental evaluation and how "prosecutors aren't certain whether they'll seek the death penalty".
Sounded like the story was being swept under the rug. We'll see.

I read somewhere that Zimmerman pulled his gun after he realized Trayvon was going for the gun. I believe it was stuck in Zimmerman’s belt. That’s my recollection.

I absolutely agree. But in this case, Zimmerman needs all the proof he can get. Unfortunately, he was convicted by the race baiters and the media. He should never have been charged. The fact that he was released after it happened speaks volumes.
yes. They visit a rock singer speaking at an NRA rally and leave without question these people threatening death to public citizens.
Those poor people at Huffington post will have a hard time spinning this but they will try.
