Nugent should hold a concert off-site and see who gets the bigger gate.

He will be replaced by a Wiccan prayer and a gay sex orgy.

He is wrong on this, but I am not writing off the whole man because of it.

"KOLOBIAN". That's good, I like that.

Now if we could come up with some silly looking "special clothing" or uniform that Kolobians wear, we'd be all set.

You know, maybe something subtle, like underwear... but impregnated with special sauce that gives them magic powers or something...

Nah, nobody would believe that. :)

The New Black KKK offer a $10,000 reward for George Zimmerman "Dead or Alive" and not a peep is heard from the Feds.

But let a non-Eric Holder person say he probably won't survive a second Ubama term and the Feds pee all over themselves.

The price one pays for honesty. He probably needed the gig, too. All the more power to him if he doesn’t cave to any powers that be - that means he’s truly honest, everything he says is what he truly believes.

Maybe they’ll replace Ted with the Dixie Chicks or some comedy from Bill Maher.

I agree, and if this were almost anyone other than the Department of Defense, I would have problems with canceling Nugent.

But let's change the situation a bit. What if the Dixie Chicks had been booked to perform at an Army post before they made disparaging comments about a Republican President? Would we not say that MWR needs to take a long hard look at the appropriateness of having a major performance by singers who have made recent disparaging comments about the Commander in Chief? Most of us would say the difference is Nugent is right and the Dixie Chicks were wrong, but unlike us, the Department of Defense can't get involved in politics.

My guess is Ted Nugent knew there would be consequences to his comments and made them with the full intention of using his national reputation to get widespread attention for his criticism of President Obama.

The old saying is often true in the entertainment world: “There's no such thing as bad publicity.” I'm guessing Nugent is quite happy to see that MWR’s cancellation of his appearance had resulted in his comments about Obama getting even more attention.

I’m sure it put a dent in his revenue for the quarter, but Ted Nugent has been around for a long, long time, and he doesn’t drink or do drugs, so I”m guessing he’s... comfortable.

As much as I agree with what Ted said, it would be inappropriate to allow him to potentially act similarly on a US military base. Go ARMOR!

I wish he’d find some conservative farmer in the area who would let him use a few acres to put on a free concert in direct competition with the Ft. Knox show. hee hee

Ted should book a venue down the Street and charge $1 for Military in Uniform to attend. Film it and sell the DVD.
