Hillary Rodham Clinton has been on a bit of a roll lately.
First, the secretary of state was the focus of a weeklong Internet rage, “Texts with Hillary,” that showed a stock photo of her exchanging spoof text messages with various people.
Then, on Saturday night, she was seen dancing and drinking a beer with a group of bodyguards and aides at the Cafe Havana to toast the impending end of the Summit of the Americas in Cartagena, Colombia.
Today, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer interviewed her for his program, “The Situation Room,” after he accompanied her and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta to a NATO meeting in Brussels, Belgium.
Blitzer and Clinton had a humorous exchange over the possibility of President Obama dumping Vice President Joe Biden and picking her as his running mate if it appears he is going to lose his reelection campaign this fall.
Blitzer: “If the president of the United States says, ‘Madam Secretary, I need you on the ticket this year in order to beat Romney,’ are you ready to run as his vice presidential running mate?”
Clinton: “That is not going to happen. That’s like saying, ‘If the Olympic Committee called you up and said are you ready to run the marathon, would you accept?’ Well, it’s not going to happen.”
Blitzer: “I disagree.”
Clinton: “Oh, well.”
Blitzer: “I think it is possible. It’s unlikely. You will say that -”
Clinton: “It’s more than unlikely.”
Blitzer: “If he needs, if he sees in July that he’s going down, he doesn’t want to be a one-term president.”

If by the time of the convention Obama’s numbers aren’t any better than now Biden is history.
So putting Hillary on the ticket will reduce unemployment? gas prices? food prices?

No, but they think it will shore up the women’s vote and pull in the moderates. I’ve been predicting this. Even said so on another thread earlier today.
