My sister and a cousin managed to be invited to "Dance Party" in the 60s which was produced in San Jose and was probably just viewed in the Bay Area.

There was a 1988 movie set in the 60s about that starring Joe Pantoliano ( Joey Pants ) as the Philly replacement wannabe for Clark and AB.

I heard that the animosity in Philly to AB leaving for LA even carried into the 80s.
