Well I can understand that comletely... I was just four years old when my father died from shrapnel wounds. My Uncle died in the war serving on the front lines.
I have two sons who have served and one continues to do so. So our family knows what "freedom" is...as well as what it is not.... what our country is becoming is NOT what they gave their life and service for!!!!...
The only real security of liberty, in any country, is the jealousy and circumspection 'Of The People' themselves.... Let them be watchful over their rulers...... Should they find a combination against their liberties, and all other methods appear insufficient to preserve them, they have, thank God, an ultimate remedy.... That power which created the government can destroy it....
('James Irdell'....was one of the first Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States..... He was appointed by President George Washington and served from 1790 until his death in 1799......he was a leader of 'the Federalists' in North Carolina, and a strong supporter of the proposed 'Constitution'....SS James Iredell, a ship in World War II, was named after Iredell.

The quote you posted rings loudly of the choice we Americans must make, if we're to honor those who sacrificed everything to defend our God-given freedoms.
