Dick Cheney, just weeks after undergoing heart transplant surgery, plunged back into the political theater Saturday -- praising presumptive nominee Mitt Romney while slamming President Obama as an "unmitigated disaster."
The tough words came during an hour-and-15-minute talk at the Wyoming Republican Party state convention in Cheyenne on Saturday.
He sat in a plush chair throughout the long chat with daughter Liz Cheney and looked decidedly healthier than recent appearances where he has been gaunt and used a cane.
After Rick Santorum dropped out of the race this past week, Cheney in his address urged the party to pull together behind Romney. He said the former Massachusetts governor would do a "whale of a job."
His opinion of the sitting president was less flattering.

Glad to see him looking. May he live long and prosper.
Also dreading his being thrown under the bus for supporting Romney.
He couldn’t be less abused here if he came out for Obama.
I tend to agree, but damned if I'm going to prevaricate about Romney ... at least not to myself.
I have respected and admired Dick Cheney for too long to turn on him over this.
However, I adamantly disagree with him on his support for Romney.
I will NOT, under any circumstances or at the recommendation of any person, vote or in anyway support Romney.
I have long said that the very moment that Romney becomes the nominee, Obama wins another 4 years.
Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again. ~ Ronald Reagan, from his first inaugural speech as governor of California, January 5, 1967
Ronald Reagans warning about losing our freedoms echoes down through a generation of lost momentum and squandered opportunity.
We now have the most ignorant electorate in the history of American elections. I believe we have the most corrupt government and media our country has ever seen.
I believe that Newt was the one leader that could have turned our country away from the abyss, intelligently and quickly.
It is abundantly clear that not enough folks shared my beliefs, instead of a leader, they wanted a preacher.... and far too many lacked the courage to forgive and look beyond the personal sins in a mans past and into the promise of a brighter future for our country. That is certainly a free choice and a personal choice.... and as it is with all choices, there will be consequences.
Vote your conscience, I most certainly will mine.
In any case, Americans will get the country it apparently wants and a country it so richly deserves.
Under the bus with Cheney, LOL!
This place is nuts.

(Foosball, too.)
Donor is unknown. maybe he got a RINO heart ?
It happens when your mom and dad are really not conservatives at all.
"To start, Lewis recruited people from his Mormon church in Southern California. But over time, his con grew legs and expanded well beyond the confines of his community...."
I like Cheney, but I can’t help but believe he could’ve saved us from this nightmare by objecting when he oversaw the Electoral College. Yes, it would’ve been unprecedented and controversial, but America never had a kenyan would- be dictator usurping the ofiice of potus before.
>>Shes still hot...
Only to those for whom the little head in their pants evidently receives greater blood flow than the one allegedly on top of their shoulders.
LOL... You seem to have a low appreciation of beauty..
Something can be beautiful without sexual connotations..
Like Jackie Evancho is beautiful.. only a “perv” would have any other agenda..
Other than appreciating beauty for its own sake.. just because it “IS”..
...how do you praise Mitt Romney?
&&&
Once had a huge crush on Cheney (yes, I am a woman), but now I realize that he is really part of the RINO establishment.

NOT.
Not in any form of the word except maybe as a "hot" commodity for consumption by RINO Log-cabin activists and their Useful Idiot supporters who are bent upon further demoralizing what remains of American socio-biological fitness.
I was talking about Liz.. Duuuugh..
Cheney’s actions at the certification of electoral votes has been a serious and disgusting feeling for me. When he did not offer the traditional opportunity for challenge the signal was given that something very critical for the USA was being staged. To this day there is some kind of ghostly political cloud enveloping the USA. I consider myself a pragmatic person not subject to whims of imagination. However, when there are so many historical dots to be connected about Obama I have the feeling of something so much more expansive than what generations of USA citizens have lived through or imagined.
He looks good, doesn’t he?
You need to get over your hatred
It is none of your business
Excellent point. Why drum up old news?
